Oh great I've got fleas all over my place. Is this just isolated to Arizona at the present time?

It appears to be isolated to the Flagstaff, AZ area. Back in 2008 the plague killed a biologist in the same area.

                loved that too!
however, you can keep your home fairly "plaque free" by taking care of the underlying problem. Fleas can be controled through chemical and natural means...call an exterminator or set up flea/bug bombs and do it again in about 2 weeks unless the bug bomb is known to kill the eggs. Keep your pets free of fleas also. Pennyroyal, a member of the mint family is also known as "flea balm" and will naturally deter fleas.
Should the dreaded plaque hit, consider $ thieves oil (recipes on line) or at least a vinegar soaked mask to prevent the spread. In all seriousness, by keeping the fleas under control, rats away from your dwelling and following normal cleanliness habits, you shouldn't have much to worry about. Keep your immune system boosted by eating and resting properly and taking elderberry tincture/syrup at the first sign of sickness.

Colloidal Silver can be used as a defense for the Plague. If you were ever in the military you probably were vaccinated for the Plague.
