    These people can't catch a break!

    Some areas in Ishinomaki moved southeast 17 feet (5.3 meters) and sank 4 feet (1.2 meters) lower.


    Gives a good explanation of the plate mechanics that have caused this. People hurry home before 3 PM so they can be inside before high tide!
