Carter set in motion the events leading to many of our current issues in the ME.

This pResident, he's giving the whole thing to jihadists, we may never recover.

Don't worry though....look at the census...if the trend follows....this country will have more Muslims than Christians in about 40 yrs....give or take.....then it won't be jihad.......it will be genocide.....nothing like getting bred out of existence.... :(

I only lament because I've seen radical muslim rants, stating that the US will be an islamic nation by 2040-50 etc. My patriotic macho side says, "yeah, right." My logical side says, "I'll do what I can to prevent that." A huge dark feeling I get is due to this fact... they are hard over on their theologic stance... no Christians/Jews/nothing in their country. Our stance... we welcome all. I suppose the 'separation of church and state' will be the new battle ground when 'they' arrive in sufficient numbers to inflame the debate.

I will say this... after Obama and a decade or two... if we, again, elect the absolute disaster-of-a-president, God forbid, our nation could be in dispute. Though I'll be gone, my kids will be about my age at that time (God willing). What I'd give for a crystal ball.

It is my sincerest hope that we can keep the republic we were given. I know I'm waxing all patriotic, but damn! When will political correctness and outright socialism subside in this nation. It's 180 degress from the principals that we were founded. The picture is so big, and the story so long, it's hard to wrap my head around it.

I've wished for that crystal ball, too, for a few years.

Our financial collapse is very nearly inevitable unless we get some REAL hard-asses in who cut entitlements and whole arms of the fedgov. The dollar losing it's place as the world's reserve currency will hurt the most. I don't think that many people know what that will mean. We buy almost everything from overseas. In dollars. If we lose that status, we'll have to take our severely devalued dollars and buy whatever the reserve currency is (for a few cents on every dollar) and then buy those foreign goods. ALL prices will rise.

And by the way, you can wax all patriotic whenever you wish!

I've seen posts by two different economists asking why there isn't a permanent protest going on outside the Federal Reserve. I'd like to see the same thing outside the WH.

I don't see BO resigning, he's too into himself and his position. Didn't SAY he was into doing his job, just into his position.
