:mad::mad:Go figure obama is in favor of that mosque near Ground Zero:mad::mad::mad:

"President Obama threw his support behind a controversial proposal to build an Islamic center and mosque near New York's ground zero, saying Friday that "Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country," according to remarks distributed by the White House."

Yeah the 1st Amendment gives them that right, but couldn't they just take it somewhere else.

All hope I had of things turning around in this country have just been dashed. There is no doubt that we are doomed as a free country.

If I am correct Obama's middle name is HUSSANE, ( probably not spelled right) does that give you any idea why he is for it?

No that's about what I expected, but I'm still disappointed. America deserves better.

I don't know, this guy was voted in. I just think you deserve what you ask for.
I feel bad for the people that knew what was coming before he won the election, and didn't ask for this(me).
And believe me I am not happy about it, feel like I wasted my military time protecting people that do not deserve it.

While I absolutely despise our present President, no I did not vote for him, the only thing I can say is make sure you vote him out of office in 2012. Of course when it was time to vote between McCain and Obama, one a closet liberal the other a way over the top liberal, I voted for the lesser of two evils in John McCain. While Obama seems to be runnning America off the rails at breakneck speed while John McCain would have run America off the rails at a slower pace.

Agree with you, but in the end... it's the new aristrocracy spinning a huge political stage show to keep us reved up and fixated OFF of the bigger picture. Left, right... it's modern government, serving their own purposes. There's been a slight awakening recently in the public, but this is mainly due to the constriction of their wallets. They won't look much past the dollar to see the hand taking it. Show them some temporary relief, and they're back at their plasmas tuned out or bending their plastic on the next distraction.

My father says to have hope. That America is pissed. That things will change for the better. While I dare to hope, it's very limited. I believe the wool over our eyes has been too thick for too long. We're blind to what's really going on. Government is entrenched too deeply in our daily lives. They have ultimate control over us. They take far too much in taxes. They are far too detached from how average America lives to make informed decisions, and honestly, I don't believe they want to. Power and wealth. Left, right, moderate... power and wealth is what they seek/are taking. All the while, disaster looms. Weather it comes from the heavens, from across an ocean, or from within... we've lost our way.

Sorry. Just how I see it.

With respect, I see and respect your point of view. But, more concerning is the message the Islamic world will take from this, should the mosque be built there. They'll view it as a victory. From victory comes morale. They'll recruit more, train more, and strike again.

Their laws, economies, and essentially their ultimate theocracy have held them back from development in nearly all fronts. And it's my opinion it's held back the progression of their tollerance towards other religions. Christians were hacking up muslims and muslims were hacking up christians during the time of the crusades. It was just accepted then. We moved on. They didn't. And now, it's our laws and religious tollerance (our society) that will eventually be our undoing. To let them build a mosque at that particular spot would be to vindicate their attacks on west.

What has me pissed as [email protected] about all of tis right now is the fact that the ACLU and our own (left)government has come out defending this mosque, but the Crosses on the side of Utah roads honoring the fallen Highway Patrol have been deemed unconstitutional, when that was what the officers families had chosen. Have we lost our freakin minds. Am I reading too much into this?
