Judge: Swine flu is reason to suspend constitutional rights

SANTA ANA – A Superior Court judge ruled Tuesday that there is legal justification to keep the Central Men’s Jail under medical quarantine – at least for a couple of days – to control a swine flu outbreak. Judge Thomas Goethals said the “significant medical public health event” in the men’s jail is good cause to temporarily suspend constitutional guarantees to speedy trials, preliminary hearings and arraignments for some criminal case defendants.

Couple of days? Yah, right.

It's not that I'm complacent, because I'm not. I'm outraged at everything that has gone on with this country in the last 4 years and 6 months...mainly the last 6 months. To know, not just think, that our leadership is being systematically reduced to a slurry of overpaid treasonous back-stabbers whose only goal is to gain absolute power over the country by use of false propaganda, lies, and belittlement, and to know that most people still have their heads in the sand, makes me quite anxious to watch this country fall into martial law, and eventually into dictatorship.

We had an "ass-hat" for a president last go around and now we have another"ass-hat" for president again, but this time he is a foreign national that has somehow weasled his way into our No.1 spot in the US gubberment, without providing proper bonafied documentation about his place of birth. Sorry, I know it is off topic but it struck a thin chord of patience with me.

George Bush may have been a dissappointment to many of us because of his stance on illegals and the so-called Patriot Act. BUT he has integrity and loves this country and our troops.
