Id vote for him in a heart beat,if he had a chance! But thanks to the liberal media he dose not get any airTime I have saw him once on Glen Beck, most americans do not know who he is,America is being lead to the slautter. If this bailout passes we have lost our freedom it will only be a mater of time. The Bible say the barrower is a slave to the lender HOW TRUE THIS IS.
Ron Paul is right on this one, but unfortunately Ron Paul is part of the problem of unlimited government tax-and-spend craziness. Ron Paul has participated in getting numerous pork barrel projects for his district:
In written requests he submitted to the House Appropriations Committee, the Lake Jackson Republican asked for $8.6 million for the Army Corps of Engineers to maintain the Texas City Channel and $10 million for the Galveston Rail Causeway Bridge. He also asked for money for a nursing program, expansion of a cancer center at Brazosport Hospital, a seafood testing program, a Children's Identification and Location Database and $8 million for Wild American Shrimp Marketing requested by the Texas Shrimp Association.
The Children's Identification and Location Database in particular could have some sinister implications.
And Paul's pork-barrelling isn't even confined to his own district:
Das, You are correct there too. Ron Paul, as well as Pat Buchanan a lot of times, sound like they are getting a paycheck from some big fat Muz oil Sheikh the way they talk about foreign policy.
I wonder if he understands that there are no libertarian parties or think tanks in the Islamic world.

TUO,
Agreed, he is just not as proficient on foreign issues as economic but then again what congress person is today? Even the foreign affairs representatives sound like saber rattlers when they are supposed to be statesman diplomats. The sad fact is that, similar to high school kids worrying what everyone thinks of them, most people around the world are NOT thinking about the US....we are powerful but not omnipresent.
Ron Paul is correct. The US needs to get our house in order before we stamp democratic capitalism onto other countries but to totally withdraw from the world is a mistake. The longer it goes on the more convinced that the US is trying to do to Afghanistan what the Russians tried and failed....what is the difference between conquering a country and supplanting your eco/political policies upon them?
You pray in your house of worship and respect my right to do the same....forcing anything on others is a fools game.
YES!!! FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY THE GOVERNMENT WORKING ATLEAST A LITTLE BIT FOR THE PEOPLE!!! GOOD!
Bailout bill fails; Dow plunges
The House of Representatives today rejected a $700 billion plan to bail out the U.S. financial system. The Dow was down more than 500 points after the voting ended. House Minority Leader John Boehner says the chamber will not vote again today, and lawmakers wasted no time in pointing fingers.

Well, they are thinking of the U.S...it's just that they're licking their chops while doing so and while watching our economic and energy mess.

I don't see the 'nation-building' going on in Afghanistan so much as I do in Iraq...And Iraq is a big mistake, especially since we helped establish Iraq as a nation with Shi'ite Islam as the official State-sponsored religion, and especially since 1.5 million barrels a day flows out of Iraq totally un-accounted for. None of that oil is going to benefit of the U.S., most of it is going to Red China and some of it may be even going to Al-Qaeda and its supporters.

No problem from my end, since I have no house of worship and I respect anyone's right to believe in "twenty gods or no god at all" to quote Jefferson. However, Islam does not see it that way and hasn't seen it that way since day one of its founding.
Until Islam either gives up (or is forced to give up) the practices of Sha'ria law, Jihad (holy war against unbelievers) and Taqiyya (deception of unbelievers,) Islam will continue to be at odds with humanity, no matter what our foreign policy.
