I laugh and shake my head at everything these so-called "scientists" come up with. All the data that has been recorded about weather patterns only reflects that past few hundred years.

Palentologists have discovered the ice age, which was just after an extensive tropical period. Ice drilling in Siberia has revealed leaves and even remnants of a previous civilization which was before all the ice began forming in that area.

Before there were people smart enough to do damage to the earth by trying to fix things, the earth maintained itself. Scientists are a bunch of idiots.

That's what freaks me about the proposal to put reflective material in the atmosphere!!! There will come a day when we desperately want to let the warming rays hit us.
Now if they could selectively shade Texas from about July to Sept, i could get on board with that:)

These same self-appointed saviours of the world are also proposing to deploy materials into the upper atmosphere to shade the earth:eek:
Very ambitious for hacks who once pushed (the now demonized) plastic grocery bags as an eco-smart way to save trees.

Steven Chu, who directed the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and was professor of physics and molecular and cell biology at the University of California before being appointed by President Obama to be the U.S. Energy Secretary, says white paint is what's needed to fix global warming.

Chu, who according to the federal agency's website, successfully applied the techniques he developed in atomic physics to molecular biology and recently led the lab in pursuit of new alternative and renewable energies, has told the London Times that by making paved surfaces and roofs lighter in color, the world would reduce carbon emissions by as much as parking all the cars in the world for 11 years.

The DOE says Chu's areas of expertise are in atomic physics, quantum electronics, polymer and biophysics. According to the Times, he was speaking at the St. James' Palace Nobel Laureate Symposium, in which the Times partners for media events, when he described his simple and "completely benign" … "geo-engineering" plan.
