It is very good to know that my time spent serving this country and this government, I was being supplied with what this JA obviously deams as crap. Our tax dollars hard at work. I am sure glad I can not be assaulted by someone with a lever action rifle or a six shooter.

Sorry D, but I do feel pretty strongly about this particular subject.

of course not, he's just ignorant.

I'm gonna call this one ignorant because I bet he has never shot one, and doesn't truly understand weapons. But I don't know his background.

Someone should take him to the shooting range and show him the truth.

We all need to take someone if we want to win the battle over public opinion.

"It’s nuts for ordinary citizens to go out and buy assault weapons," Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa., told CNBC. "Assault weapons are difficult to operate, they jam easily. If you want a gun to protect your home it’s the last thing you should have." (See video for more.)
If I was in the military I would be upset they give me inferior weapons that jam.

Plus..I am curious what firearm will not kill or maim? Even a BB gun can put out an eye, at least that is what my mama kept warning us about as kids.. ;)

"These weapons have one purpose," added Rendell. "...They’re to kill and to maim, and they shouldn’t be in the hands of anyone else but the police and the military."

Assault Weapons 'Nuts' for Ordinary Citizens: Governor
    By: Brooke Sopelsa, Writer/Producer | 17 Apr 2009 | 02:08 PM ET

Gun and ammunition sales have been spiking, partly due to fears President Obama will reinstate a federal ban on assault weapons, but the weapons aren't practical for home protection, a state governor said.

Rendell, who has been a vocal supporter of reinstating the ban on assault weapons, which expired in 2004, says federal and state lawmakers must stand against the gun lobby and support reinstating the ban.

"These weapons have one purpose," added Rendell. "...They’re to kill and to maim, and they shouldn’t be in the hands of anyone else but the police and the military."
