Hammer502,
Howdy, Hammer!
My question is, though: As much as the NRA has compromised on fighting for our right to keep and bear arms, who would want a free membership to their little junk-mail fund solicitation operation?
Alas, the old acronym is still true: TANSTAAFL (There Ain't No Such Thing As As Free Lunch.) If you want to support guns rights by joining a group, pay for membership in a real no-compromise gun rights organization, such as these:
Citizen's Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms
Gun Owners of America
Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (Note: You do not have to be Jewish to join, only a supporter of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights)
National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association
Since 1933 The NMLRA has worked to promote, support, nurture, and preserve our nation’s rich historical heritage in the sport of muzzleloading through recreational, educational, and historical venues.
Second Amendment Foundation
Alan Gottlieb on John Stossel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrMgqr6SmYo The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) We are dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms.
As an ex-NRA member, I say paying anything for membership in these other groups is worth many Dollars more than what you'll waste on the NRA."Apocalypse is by no means inevitable." --Jim Rice.
