  • New Land of the Free?

Are there any countries besides the USA where citizens are allowed to own firearms? May need to move sometime in the future and would like to take at least some firearms with me. Have tried to think of someplace but the world has changed a lot in the last 40 years. Any ideas on locations? I guess I'm looking at being an expat.

Hey now the question was about guns right? So there you are. All kind of guns are unregulated in Yemen including land mine, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, etc Everything are sold at any village market. I was thinking of adding Somalia, unfortunately they do have some gun control law, it just they completely lack the will & resources to enforce any kind of law.

See all those happy faces. A peaceful environment indeed.

Anyway Dale, get yourself a 40 -50 footer trawl boat, just don't buy new they are quite expensive. Buy used one that still operational and refurbish it by adding bedroom along with other amenities. And re-register it either under Panama or Liberian flag (they rarely ask much question). Most small countries in Pacific or Indian Ocean also rarely ask much question as long your paperwork look legit enough to them.

And as I had stated elsewhere, if you want to endure dystopian world you need both camouflage & mobility.

heck if I have the money I've already get myself one and live onboard permanently without need to worry about any SHTF happening on land

How long do you think my Caucasian, American hind end would last in Yemen? The U.S. State Dept still has Yemen listed as "DO NOT TRAVEL" for a reason. If I'm leaving the US it has to be someplace that I can at least live.

Mexico has major weapons laws and these little groups called cartels. They love kidnapping foreigners. I think I'll keep thinking on it.

The wife tells me I worry to much. The last Democrat President declared Veterans as possible terrorist. As a staunch conservative with special operations and light weapons expert training and experience, I don't know how a new socialist government regime will view people with my skill sets. I do know, historically, other countries that have gone socialist, have often rounded up and removed special operations veterans from the population so they couldn't start trouble.

If this pattern holds true for the USA, no where in the states or the US territories would be safe. Not even Alaska. Especially if the country goes cashless as predicted.

I'm hoping all of the voter fraud is caught, Trump wins and Biden/Harris go away.

Dale... I don't think safe places exist in this digital, AI, 5G world. We're ****ed. All we can do is enjoy the time we have left. I'm hugging my dog more. And gaining weight so I don't starve to death right away in the FEMA camp.

A future where you have zero control of anything. The "end" is near grasshopper.........enjoy the pure bliss of being clueless about the future.

Study MMT (Modern Monetary Theory) and pay close attention to Digital Currency, especially that you will have zero control of your life. You will be worse off then the most abused slave.

I actually made about 60% of my income from crypto. And I my level of control is the same as with traditional currency, in fact I'm more "protected" from any gov't when moving them around between different crypto account type / currency. The only gov't control I've suffered is when I need to convert them into any traditional currency, but even that there are mitigation measures (technical & legal) in place to reduce my exposure.

I am very happy for you.......it appears that your training and programing is proceeding on track. Enjoy the temporary illusion of being in control.

Reposting this due for the forum software considered this to be a spam message. And so far no mod presence to help with the issue

I'm sure the Harris administration will use less divisive wording. If I were to guess, I would say "Armed Domestic Radicals". Selling to the news media that someone is a terrorist (of any kind) is difficult unless you have middle eastern look

Are you sure you get those histories right? And it wasn't originally rivalry between service branches or between power block of flag officers?
