That will force the citizens of said states to go across borders and then bring back ammunition that will then be ILLEGAL is thier state. Unless the Federal Governemnt gets involved every state will not do this. Not even most states will institute this law.

Also once the stats that enact it find their revenues lessened while their neighbors take in more from the sales of ammunition many of the states that enacted it will repeal it due to purely fiscal reasons.

\ Wrong!!!! We all need to worry, first one state then the next, first this type firearm then the next, they will chip away at it until we have nothing left. The old saying "give em an inch and they will take a mile" has never been truer than now!
Call your representatives! tell them what you believe! Tell them we will vote their asses out of office if they mess with our rights!!!
once again 1-866-340-9281 , dont be part of the silent majority. Be part of the LOUD, Pissed off, we're not gonna sit still and take this BS crowd!!!
Speak now or forever wish the hell you had!!!

Fired brass shell casings Responding to two Democratic senators representing outraged private gun owners, the Department of Defense announced last night it has scrapped a new policy that would deplete the supply of ammunition by requiring destruction of fired military cartridge brass. The policy already had taken a bite out of the nation's stressed ammunition…

A perfect storm is developing for Second Amendment opponents that could allow President-elect Barack Obama's choice for attorney general – Eric Holder – to "ban guns at will" despite the 2008 affirmation from the U.S. Supreme Court that U.S. citizens have a right to bear arms. The situation was described with alarm by Alan Korwin,…

This just came in this morning. After reading all of these posts this should give us reason to really take a look at it!

No worries fellows.. Here? It can not all happen 10 seconds or 30 minutes at a time. Nothing wrong with taking a deep breath. We all must throw the new info out there and wait for us all to "search and discover". No worries. I just got in, and I think that we have a sapp in the wire. "Troop" something. READ the new notes from our moderators. PF

Sorry, I suppose that is why I should slow down a bit and we should all use the quotes when answering questions, for people like me that can't figure it out.

that is the Congressional bill link if you are interested

here is a link for the explanation of the bill

A bill before Congress would prohibit ownership of handguns by those who have not obtained firearm licenses?

    Ammunition Accountability Legislation
    It has already started...

    Ammunition Accountability Legislation

Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded....

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so=20 every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!

I have mixed feelings about that... I think someone trying to make a buck on the situation is kinda what makes capitalism great.

On the other hand, it is up to us to stand up and make sure this doesn't stand.

This is just an attempt at one company trying to cash in on their own patent technology.
