      Recipe for chuck

I grew up on a farm, and that farm was dotted with many holes, and those holes had families of groundhogs. We had alfalfa and soy beans so those critters were fed very well.

I have eaten them on several occasions. Growing up, Mom's rule was "I will cook it just as long as you clean it"

Any sized whistle pig is edible, but the younger ones are less fatty.

Clean and cut up as you would a squirrel or rabbit, or chicken.

dip wet pieces into flour, add some salt and pepper, other dipping spices of what you like (like you would for fried chicken)

pan fry, like doing chicken, until crispy and golden brown

Place in a dutch oven, or other oven proof roasting pan, with a lid

bake covered in oven 350-400 for another 45-60 minutes, long enough but not to dry it out

serve it as you would fried chicken

      Bon Apetit

Don't have a recipe, but I do have a groundhog!

We already ate the deer. Had recipes for them!

I put Chunk the groudhog out in the yard to "play" with the two deer that showed up a few weeks ago. What's next?
JUST CURIOUS? PRUNES ARE DEHYDRATED PLUMS. SO WHERE DOES PRUNE JUICE COME FROM?
