So if Obama was white, he would still be President? Evn though it is clearly recorded that record number of black voters showed up at the polls to vote for Obama. I am sure skin color had nothing to do with it. I think Obama has a lot of great Ideas, and I hope that he is successful with most of his plans, but that has nothing to do with this thread. We now have a president who is half black, and half white who has been refered to as the "Savior of his people". My point is who is his people? Remember he his half and half.

So was Clinton...he's irish and german descent....nobody ever brought that up....

No!...Oprah wouldn't have given him the time of day.
It amazed me that before the election...most of his supporters tried to make it clear that race had nothing to do with it...and as soon as he won...."He's our first "black" president!....yippie!" What tha hell happened to race having nothing to do with it?
His race means absolutely nothing to me, but you'll never convince me that being "african american" didn't put him in the white house.

I was gonna vote for Ben Franklin, considering he's on the $100, but was never a president.

It doesn't matter what if what who why that because or stupid...if you can convince a large number of people you are right for the job, you will be, and great public speakers always get nominated into power...Hitler did.

As far as I'm concerned, you're either American, or something else. I only hope the best for him, ultimately, he'll make or break his place in history. My fear is some nut job attempting to take his life or threaten his kids, thus putting us in a race war. I did not vote for the man, but he's our President like it or not. Now we have to watch and see what happens next.

Yes....now we're on the same page.....there is no doubt that he is an excellent speaker, with amazing charisma, and a deft political mind.....that being said....I still hope he gets abducted by martians, along with the entire beltway club....:rolleyes:
