I live on a ranch in NorCal (not sacremento...very VERY Northern Cal) and run cattle mostly. I enjoy the outdoors and have been raised to hunt and be able to fend for myself in the wild. Only recently have I begun to prepare personally for a SHTF situation. Thanks all and hello!

Hello, I'm from North Carolina. I wished I lived on a ranch. I love the outdoors. I'm just about to start to learn the very basics to hunt in the wild but when I don't know. Soon I hope. I just bought a lantern and portable stove. I'm slow in preparing for the worst to come if and when it comes. Oh gosh time flies by gotta go. I'll keep in touch and hope you will too. :)

Yes I would not trade my lifestyle for anything, but i visited North Carolina a few years back and LOVED it. So much green-ness! And History! We dont have any history...just rocks Indians supposedly piled or rivers that "used" to have gold in them...haha! Good luck on your training for hunting! These forums seem to be an excellent resource so far for questions and basic info. Happy hunting!
