    Thanks for the welcome everyone

Skyowl's Wife - you can still own shotguns and small calibre rifles if you have good cause (I'm no expert on this law and will be looking into it in the future) and pass the necessary police checks etc. Over in the UK gun's aren't part of the cultural ethos as they are on your side of the pond.
As for arming myself if TSHTF at present its way down my list of priorities but
    a) air gun
    b) crossbow / long bow
    c) going to join a gun club so I can get experience and know location of firearms if the worse happened like total society collapse.

Welcome! Will be good to get your perspective too.

Can you have long guns? I know they banned hand guns. How do you plan to arm yourself?

    Hi from the UK

    Hi everyone

Just a quick hello before I wander off and read some more threads.
I'm a married father of 2 from England who is relatively new to prepping and wishes he had started years ago!!!
Looking forward to interacting with you all and sharing info and tips. It will be good to get some American views on things :)

    see you all soon
