  • Hello from New Hampshire/Maine!

I am very active outdoors, whether it's camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking etc... And just sitting in the yard whittling/carving (not that I'm very diverse in it haha), or a stroll in the local wooded areas just to poke around, study the vegetation and critters. I find myself sitting outside, making fires primitively with what is available, sometimes in the rain, just to know I can do it if I have to. I love reading about anything I can on the subjects you have to offer on this website (survival, bushcraft, living off the grid, everything!) so I am really glad to have found it.
-I had taken my mom and girlfriend to the planetarium in Concord, NH one Saturday because the mom was here to visit and we wanted to do something different. A guy totally out of the blue, randomly asked me if I had heard of this website, while we were waiting in line for the sky show. We talked for a few about what he had learned just from browsing... It was a totally random encounter! I immediately wrote the website down to take a look. If your out there, thank you my man!
P.S. "Oatmealer" is just a screen name I have had, and continued to use since I was in my teens when the internet first became available to poor people. It has nothing to do with breakfast lol

Welcome aboard from South west NH. You should find the place and the folks here generally enjoyable. Post what you have to offer even if it is something well known to you. You just never know if you have some bit of info or a trick or tip to do something that will really come in handy to someone else.
