Lets put our current state of the nation in order, shall we?
Taxes, recession, depression, gangs, militias, violence, racialism, wars, destruction, eradication, anarchy...then things get worse.

I'm looking forward to the end of civilized society, or revolution, whichever comes first. We, as a nation, are just a grouping of followers who will do whatever we're told by those we deem responsible enough to tell us what to do. We work our jobs so we can buy massive quanities of useless junk we don't have time to enjoy.

You probably aren't reading more into what I'm saying at all. Society has forced each and every person involved in it to surrender their time and energy in an effort to better the situation of those who make the rules.
Each time I receive my paycheck, there is a bunch of money taken out of it for the government. Each time I spend money at a store (excluding food here in Washington) I am charged a tax simply for buying something.

The more we as civilians want to buy, the more we have to earn, which means the more we have to work...the end result is a mansion filled with italian furnishings on two acres of beautifully landscaped land, and you're in Singapore sleeping in a hotel because you've got three business meetings to attend, then you're off to Tokyo for three days...

e.g. you work your entire life to buy what you don't have time to enjoy.
