Well as far as my immediate family goes, I am the only one out of the kids in the house that really does anything as far as personal preparation. But we live in a fairly small town in southern Utah, so we have basic survival/camping gear. Plus we all pretty much have some form of wilderness training and, or skills. My parents are interested in the idea, but with the economy being the way it is they are preoccupied with bills and groceries, you know the everyday thing. But my uncle who lives here in town is really into preparation, Supplies, Gear, Weapons, the works. He teaches me allot of things.

As far as skills go, I am comfortable with the skills I have. When it comes to cars, I don't know allot of the finer details of a engine, but I can pretty much hold my own with a little research first. I have pretty basic welding skills, my carpentry skills are pretty fined tuned. My gun smithing skills are not the greatest but I can pretty much figure most weapons out, and my shooting skills are pretty good as well. I am pretty good with basic first aid, and a little advanced stuff, I am taking some classes though. However I am always looking, reading, listening, watching, and researching. You can never be to prepared.

I was going to post my gear on the post that you started but it said I need 15 posts first. So when I get there I will post my stuff.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

Welcome to the site Chase! Glad to see you starting early. Is your familly/parents into being prepared also?

If I can make one suggestion to you, since you are so young, and have plenty of room in the brain for learning... do so! Learn as many useful practical skills you can, take courses, read, study and become an expert at real life skills. Like, electrical, solar, welding, small and large engine repair, gunsmithing, etc. You have a real opportunity to truly become an expert.

    started a topic Hello all

    Hello all

    My name is Chase,

I am 16, However I am not one of those annoying "No one can mess with me, I am a Bad A--, and I know all", Kind of guys. I am a firm believer of preparation and being prepared. I have questions, and answers both. I will try to be of as much help as possible, and hopefully I can learn some good stuff. I live in Utah, I like pretty much any thing that has to do with guns. I am a fighter, I like music, and cars(But I don't know to much about them). If you have any questions PM me on here and we can talk.
