  • Preparing in PA for the downfall of our beloved country

I just wanted to say that its nice to know that there are others out there doing the same thing I am doing. But how do we prepare for something we cant see coming like the dissolution of our 2nd ammendment rights. If you look at our current regimes Attorney Generals Eric Holders record in Illinois we should be scared. There is a part of the Constitution that states. If the current government is not working for the people then the people have the right to overthrow the people in the postitions of power. Well all I see is the rich running the poor!! The politicians are bought and paid for by the businesses and lobbyist that will benefit the most. Look at Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens who had a $250,000 addition put on his home paid for by the oil company that had alterior motives. I guarantee if one takes money they all take it. When will enough be enough. Will we wait until we are divided and conquered? Will we wait until the country is devistated by economic upset? Will we wait until our country is considered 3rd world? When the wealthy have nothing more to gain? What then? Will we fight against our fellow Americans for resources. The way it is going I do not know. When will enough be enough? The United States of America is not how we know it to be. It is set up to make money of off the poor through unfair tax practices. Therefore it is " The Corporation of the United States of America." I hope my children will not grow up in a country that is set up to keep the rich in the money and the poor in the gutter. I love this country and would love to hear what our founding fathers would think. I hope this all turns around and it wont until we as a nation put a stop to it and its practice of keeping its money making blue and brown collar workers under the shoe of the rich.

This is what the Wife and I do every day. The news is depressing and gets worse every day. Keep your spirits up, prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Maybe the O was right. 'We' are the hope the rest of the country are waiting for, 'cause he sure ain't it.

Oh, and welcome to the Colony.:)

I agree as well! Very good points, no real answers. I had almost this same conversation with a very good friend of mine earlier today. He was talking about his concerns on a military take-over of our country such as Martial Law. He went on to say how he'd not handle that too well. Not knowing what else to say, I posed this scenario to him: What would you be able to do if you knew your daughter and son, who are both in our military, became under Orders to do who knows what? He got quiet and calmed down some. So I continued - There really are Oath Keepers and some people take that seriously. He relaxed enough to offer to take me to the bar for a beer after that but I had to decline because I do not drink alcohol too often.

The thing is, like mentioned, there is corruption everywhere. There always has been, in ancient times through today. Mankind can not really change this, in my opinion, because the rich wouldn't allow it. Taking a stand against them, would make us all the forbidden "T" word and that wouldn't really be good because in a sense, we would be. Sitting back and waiting, watching and wondering doesn't produce positive results either. Voting? Promoting people like Ron Paul? I do not know the proper answers. It's deeper then it is simple. Right now, health care reform is under way, but in my opinion, we need education reform so the students of today will stand a chance tomorrow to be able to produce more people who, like Ron Paul, see how things really are. I'm one of the lucky ones, I think. I have no children because I couldn't justify, to myself, a logical reason to bring a child into this world the way it is. I guess I could have looked at it like this - I'd have someone to explain things to that would be a part of me. But I have nieces and nephews that I explain things to. It helps them to understand things when they too, have a feeling that something is wrong. Here's an example of that: It wasn't too long ago, about 2 1/2 months now, when my whole family took a fishing trip and we all met at the State Park for the weekend. The kids were wanting to swim in the roped-off swimming area so after being out in the boat fishing most of the day, I volunteered to be a land-lover for a few hours and keep an eye on the kids. My niece was telling me about the things going on in her school and my nephew was telling me about the trouble he got in for protecting his sister. My niece and nephew, by the way, are 7 and 9 years old.

Apparently, God and Prayer is not allowed in the school but as it was put to me, humping a girls leg, is! Some of the boys in that school were doing this, to some degree, I refused to find out more then that because I'm an adult and did not need to personally go down to that school and let my thoughts be known. Anyway, my niece and nephew did what they thought was the right thing to do, they told the principle about what was going on. To their surprise, the principle told them he wasn't going to do anything because "boys will be boys" and he said "it was normal". I will not say what I wanted to do to the principle at the time I heard this from my sister's children but I pulled my sister aside when they returned from their boat-ride fishing adventure and had a little talk with her. I put it to her in a way that she would just bring the subject up in a nonchalant way and let her children tell her what they told me.

My sister heard exactly what the kids told me and was better prepared to handle it then I was, being told right off the bat. She had somewhat of a ride home and time to take a breath and calm down.

When she got to the school the following Monday and approached the principle with the new found problems, his reply was, "It's not just boys doing that to the girls, they do it to other boys as well and I'm not in a position to lose my job over this."

After a few things were said that I won't get into here, my sister went to her car and left that school with her children. She enrolled them in a different school that very day. So, the moral of the story is, nobody wants to take the necessary actions because of the consequences. I sure didn't want to be a part of going to the school! I have self control and martial arts training but I know, without a single doubt, I would have not kept my cool with the principle in the least.

Politicians are much the same way. Most, anyway. They know right from wrong but they too fear the thought of "not being in the loop" if they speak out. The others, choose to look the other way because they get "benefits" for doing so. Sometimes it may be a subtle benefit such as funding for a project that may help someone in need or a small group in need. More often then not, the benefits hurt our future and continue to chip away small pieces of our Constitution. Our Law of the Land. Piece by piece, it changes. What will be the final straw that destroys who we are as a Nation? Who knows? I try to avoid such thought when I do not have the ability nor the answers to fix the issues. So basically, I'm NOT adding to the solution and in a way, I too, am part of the problem. Knowledge is power but action is practically suicide. Either political or otherwise.

            Just my thoughts on this...
            Being unprepared is giving up!
