I've read all your intro's so I know a tiny bit about you all and I want to make a few statements as way of introduction:
First: Thanks for letting me in this site; it was not easy to get in and I understand why.
Second: I feel right at home here and hope to make a contribution.
Third: I feel comfortable with a smaller group, I am overwhelmed by bigger sites and so I hope I fit in well here.
Fourth: I have alot in common with everyone here as I grew-up in the suburbs, lusting after the outdoor life and adventure, then went into the service (army) and moved into a rural/ranching lifestyle. I never got to read Teddy Roosevelt's books as a kid, but you would think I had!
Fifth: I have spent the rest of my life persuing a rancher's life in the mountains of the Northern country and it aint easy. You do not do this work for money, cause there aint none! Being a rancher/farmer means you have to master alot of skills, I'm lucky I mastered tracking and hunting before I got into ranching/farming because those occupations leave little time or energy for hunting activities! I am not a sociable guy and don't expect others to help me; as such I am self taught through book learning and practicle experience. None of my buildings have collapased (yet). My irrigation and septic work (same thing, just different smell) has worked fine simply because I read books and learned from them!
Lastly: I'm really glad to be here and happy that this site offers a home for all us, we need one. Thanks to the PPL that made this site happen!
