  • Borderlands refuge in ID!

This small family of three just made our escape from the hellhole known as Texas (aka Mexico). After 15 years of always considering it as my final destination, we have landed safely in Idaho. With limited resources and no guarantees of anything, it was a huge move for us. We are currently regrouping in the city and will hopefully make our final move farther north to the panhandle soon. While we have made some preps, we do NOT feel that our can of heirloom seeds and camp gear is anywhere near sufficient. Much work to do!

The process of waking up and preparing is rare, and perhaps the hardest thing anyone can do in this life. Not that it was hard for us - but we see how our family and friends have not a clue. We feel truly alone sometimes in what we see happening in this country, and our choices to deal with it. Getting to a place of true independence and sovereignty as an individual is a long difficult journey which the State tries to prevent you from taking from the day you are born.

But WE the People were born Free - in spirit anyway. Now we move forward and hope to finally realize and reflect this inner freedom in how we live our lives, and how we prepare the way for our children to inherit a better world.

Time grows short. To all who have achieved their sovereignty - congratulations. To all who are still on the move - godspeed to you all!

                  Thanks!

Thanks to all so far. It's quite encouraging to see so many women involved here. Being ready and reclaiming one's sovereignty and sustainability is truly a family affair - it must include the hearts and minds of all men women and children. And truly, for my wife and I it is protecting our son (and all future little ones) that gets us out of bed and moving every morning - ready to take on the day and move closer toward our goals.

Yah! Get your wife involved, we'll pick her brain and pour ours out on her, too! :p Have found great survival recipes and methods here - stuff that tends to fall to the women.

Much food for thought, good info on survival medicine, growing food, AND our weapons! :D

I was making a "book" - printed, I'm assuming we'll lose power - of handy stuff and recipes. It's gotten so big, I've had to separate it - twice. Is now Recipes, Handy Stuff, and Bread. Have stuff in there like something as simple to do (that I've never done) like making tomatoe sauce. Sourdough starters, road rations, etc. Good stuff!

Yep, those books tend to multiply as time goes on...

We do hope to see your wife participating as well, Genesis!
