Hello, everyone. I'm from NW Arkansas and very happy to be here.
And I apologize, but I'm not good at introducing myself. :)
Good enough....glad to have another Razorback onboard....
Check out the Ozark Region Social group and the Arkansas soundoff board....

Welcome aboard from Upstate South Carolina! We're glad you're here. Tell us a little about yourself.
Where in Arkansas? One of my sons is planning a duck hunting trip out to Stuttgart.
Back off, Carolina Boy!!!!!

Um...I'm from the Fort Smith area. When I was about ten I found a preparedness book amongst those in my dad's library and I've pretty much been hooked ever since (I'm...er...holding strong at 29 now). My dream is to purchase vast tracts of wilderness, plant myself in the middle of it, and never have to leave. Right now I live in an apartment until I can finish my little "back to school" adventure and get a job that pays me well enough to afford that dream. I chose my apartment according to orientation, defensibility and the fact that the windows are so big and low that I can still do a little gardening inside.
I have two children and some of my friends joke that they live on MRE's and could kill a man with a paper towel. They are 5 and 3 and I often take them and my preteen sister out for weekend excursions to some of the many still-wild parts of the state and show them poo and tracks and wild food to eat. I teach them urban skills too since we currently live in the city. Never too young, methinks.
I'm a mad stockpiler, as well. My apartment has an insane pantry that apparently can hold a couple of years worth of canned and dry goods (is there a legal limit on how much I can keep at once? Because someone once told me there was). My bathroom closet is much the same: a dozen toothpastes, a dozen shampoos, etc. I admit, part of the stockpiling is simply because I detest shopping.
Did I do any better on my second pass? :)

Reason: Found a renegade word and had to remove it.
Much better....and while the Nannies frown on anyone being truly self-reliant, they have not yet figured out a way to tell us how much we can stockpile legally......so you're good...;)
