  • Greetins from West Texas

Just wanted to say Hi everybody...This site is exactly what I've been looking for for over a year now and I had given up. At least until I accidentally found it this last Friday.

I grew up overseas with my Father being in the Air Force. But we lived in Iran and on Okinawa which required us to "be prepared" for storms or unknown events that would cause us to go without water supply and fresh food for days at a time. Now, I've been teaching my wife how to store and prepare for these uncertain times. Plus, we've figured out its cheaper to prepare our own bread and have staples always ready so we are eating healthier and don't have to run to the stores and deal with the Sheeples every other day. We have been gardening on a small scale for a couple of years now and are planning on growing even more this year. It's amazing how much better a truly fresh vegetable or fruit tastes when it hasn't been in could storage or trucked and warehoused for weeks before you get it!:)

Well, with just West Texas, and myself out here, it was getting lonely.

              Ha!

              We have a third!

Jimbo, how did you find the site? Cards from the gun show yesterday? Craigslist?

              Might glad you're on board...

              I'm in Midland.

Hardcore Outdoorsman in Odessa, Checking in Y'all.

Glad to see Rusty is not the only here in West Texas. I have been an outdoorsman all my life, and not the "RV at the paid lake camp outdoorsman."
Nope, I am a "sleeping on the ground next to a fire, with a bed of coals buried 3-5 inches below me for warmth" outdoors. I am a diehard fisherman, hunter, hiker, and a very avid outdoor enthusiast. Check in West Texans, this group needs to grow.

                        ZA

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
beat you to death with it because it is empty.

The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.

                              Glad to be here

Glad to be here guys. Anybody going shopping at the pb boat and gun this coming weekend. The midland show last week was a blast, but most items were way overpriced. What do I need to do to get my freinds on here? I can double the size of the west texas group fairly quickly, and I have a few freinds down in the houston and temple areas also eager to join. All are fellow outdoorsman and gun nuts that are preparing for the worst here.
