So I never had heard of much of this idea, until I started looking for camping safety tips (this will be the first year I take my 4 year old, and hope to get preggo soon, trying to protect my babies), and then I saw the survivalist idea, and I was hooked. Right now I have like a days worth of food in my house (hey its the end of the month), no matches, no flashlights, no batteries, and worse NO BOTTLED WATER! I thought omg, if something happened today wtf would we do? I am a mother and sworn to protect the children I give life to. So I think this is a great idea, I am going to start stocking up on water, food, MRE's (hubby is former marine corps & ex-hubby is still in), a generator, weapons, ect. I do not have any guns right now (long story), but we have concealed weapons laws here that allow me to carry a concealed handgun, so I am going to take the class, and get a permit and a few handguns. And a rifle. And lots of ammo. I also would like to get some good knifes for hunting and such if food ran out. I am also buying a camper to pull behind my truck so that I would have moveable shelter for the kiddos. I am new to this so any advice is welcome, I am eager to learn. I am HUGE patriotic and would fight to the death to defend this country & of my kiddos. I want to survive if everything falls apart. I want to be self sufficient. Please share and enlighten me! I cannot wait to hear from you. If you have any questions of me, please ask!
So glad to find this place!
