  • weekend goals?

My goal today:Clean all the [email protected] out of my basement, set up a pantry area for my ever-growing food supplies. Organize my camping gear, and have everything set up for a quick grab-n-go if necessary. Repack my car emergency kit into a cooler, and work on BOBs for the whole family

If I get really ambitious, and the snow holds off, I am dying to set up my Christmas gift- a 16'x14' cabin tent. It's only rated for 3 seasons, but I think with sub-zero sleeping bags and some sort of tarp-cover setup, it would make do nicely in an emergency. and it'll be the coolest tent in the campground when I go camping this spring. (though you know I'll be complaining when it's time to pack it up and try to get it back in it's duffel bag)
    I found a picture online:

tomorrow I'd like to get my food dehydrator out of the box and try it out.

Of course, I need to set up some time to hang on the computer at Xcolony and catch up on all the episodes of "Lost" I haven't seen. And those vodka shooters I have are still calling my name

    what's your goals this weekend?

I just came inside to get water. I'm cutting firewood from all the trees that have fallen around the house this year...lot's of them. I heat with wood, and miscalculated what I had stock piled for this winter. I wouldn't make it thru the season, so I am cutting up dead falls close to the house here. Lots of small stuff mixed in to help the less than seasoned wood burn....I hope. Back to the wilderness..................

Oh yeah....gonna try Rusty's glass making trick.
JUST CURIOUS? PRUNES ARE DEHYDRATED PLUMS. SO WHERE DOES PRUNE JUICE COME FROM?

cool! be safe out there lazer, and when you think you have enough go cut twice as much LOL

Brosia that looks like a sweet tent! Those cabin tents are hard to keep dry though so first thing you'll want to do is waterproof all the seams

Just a little known, and worthless fact, but the "stuff" that is filtered out is a byproduct of the refining process for making gasoline. It is called parafin. I do not eat skittles or M&M's. I am not eating petroleum. I take enough baths in it, so I do not need it on the inside also.

                  Cool Brosia, Nice tent :)

I caught up on season 3 and started on Season 4... I would have been pissed to watch Lost one time a week when it first aired... Lots of fun watching it now for the first time on G4 and Sci-Fi channels :)

Took a walk along the creek today to see it nice and clean after 2" of rain this week. Just gonna veg out this weekend. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
beat you to death with it because it is empty.

The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.

Well my weekend has started with ordering a Lee press kit and all the dies for each gun I own. I also ordered 1000rds of .223 brass, and just received 3 books from Amazon on wild edible plants. I would highly recommend the book "Stalking the wild asparagus" by Euell Gibbons. What a wonderful book. The other is The Forager's Harvest by Samuel Thayer. Both excellent reads. I also bought 2000 primers for 45 and 223

Just threw $459 at my local hunting supply/gun shop for an ex-police issue used Glock 21 ACP .45 with night sights. Should have it in my posession by Friday.
