Hi all, new member with a question, i have a heart condition and take meds dailey.I have tried to get enough to hold back for emergency but my Dr. will not go along,he thinks world is rosey place and i am a gun nut.Has any body got an idea? Thanks

Tell him that you want to save money and get a 3 or 6 month supply. This is a very reasonable request, as most insurance companies will charge you less in copay if you purchase 3 or 6 months worth.Originally posted by tate44 View Post -

Gotta second the Big D here. If you can find another Dr. who's willing to provide for your needs outside his office, you'd probably be better served all the way around.
Some Dr.s never know what the patient's life is like outside their offices......

Dunno if there are any effective treatments for heart problems using homeopathic treatments, but it would not hurt to look into those methods and research them.
I am also with the others that suggested it may be time to look into another doctor. The doctors role is to help their patients... and if calming your irrational (irrational to him, not to you... they say perception is reality) fears 'makes you feel better' by giving you a 6 month script, then he is not a very good doctor IMHO :(
I could understand his fear if you were asking for a 6 month supply of Oxycodone... but heart meds:confused: WTF???73
