Predictions 2009

Ok. There is a tradition on Coast to Coast AM that people at the end of the year make predictions for the upcoming year. Then, at the end of next year, the predicitions are pulled back up to see how correct these predictions are.

For one post, I want everyone to be serious and make their best prediction as to what you see ahead in the next year. There are a few rules.
1. Do not predict the death or assasination of any public official. I am sure Diesel does not want a visit from a bunch of guys in dark suits carrying MP5's
2. No jokes, serious predictions only. It does not matter if you use a Ouja Board, educated deduction, historical precident, or a revelation from aliens or God.
3. Only 1 per person please.
4. No predictions after January 2nd will count.
5. Be specific. Saying "there will be a bad disaster somewhere in the world" is a guarantee.



Have fun, be serious, and we will see how accurate we can be. I will come up with mine as we draw closer to the close of the predictions.

OK, I'll go for this. I predict (through deduction, nothing wierd) that there will be a nuclear explosion either in the Middle East or the US or both 2009. Boy, do I hope I'm wrong.

Ok, here is mine. The economy will continue to flounder for the next 2-3 months. Oil prices will rise in the 2nd quarter and will peak up around $90.00 a barrel. When oil prices rise, we will start to see a general rise in the economic well being of the country. All bets are off should Israel decide to take on Iran, or we decide to go after them. In which case we will see a sharp rise in oil prices (good for me) and a stagnation of the economy in most sectors.

Just an opinion.

The economy will continue to slide toward a depression. Obama's jobs program will not work because, simply put, the people he wants to put to work are too lazy to work for a living thats why most of them are unemployed now. The added strain on the economy will push us into a depression that will take years to come out of if ever.

I forgot to add, I will buy the winner a $25.00 gift card to Wal-Mart. In the event of a tie, we will vote on who is the most specific and right. The "fairness doctrine" willbe enacted and will cause me to miss my Boortz, which will really piss me off; there will be an increase in "Islamic corectness" in America like we've seen in the E.U. and G.B.; Obama and his cronies will not ban handguns, but will make the cost of ammo so outrageously high - by way of taxes - that it will be even harder to afford to stockpile, train properly, or even pleasure shoot; States which allow unlicensed carry will see the feds withdraw subsidies unless they repeal open carry, etc. and enforce registry.

California will catch fire....somewhere....again.....and again................................and again.

There will be a food shortage (famine) in North America. The cause could be a number of things...but I lean towards a higher federal mandate on ethanol which drives corn prices up or uses all the corn up, therefore cattlemen go broke, cattle die, and chicken farmers go broke and chickens die. All because of an environmental dogma that will destroy the economy. If this happens the game in the suburban areas will be gone in an instant, and those who have free grazing cattle & chickens will have to be prepared to defend them.

I predict that the first 'African American' will be sworn in as president in 2009 Obamma will become a fiscal consertive and avoid a socialist agenda to prevent a depression in his 1st year. He will try to appease his Red Liberal buddies by pushing for anti-gun legisislation and the Fairness Act and a pro Islamist appeasement forgine policy that sinks the EU and Britian. I also predict we will all have less buying power in 12 months than we do now.
