Sweet...my wife is also Former USMC "Devil Dog" (M.P. LCPL), stationed at MCRD, San Diego, and Provost Marshal. So I'm familiar w/the Devil Dog story, and a few others... ;)

Good to hear it, and sincere thanks for your service from a semi-retired "private contractor"....I've had my bacon saved by the Corps on a couple of occasions...in fact, that's how I met my wife...also a long story.

Beebopcop....the beebop is because I am a drummer and even though I haven't played much lately, I enjoy it a great deal. The cop part is for my job, thus beebopcop.

There are two things white men just cannot do...jump and dance. Fortunately for me, though, I don't want to do either. LOL

                        fairly straightforward

well, my dad's name is jerry, and most people that have met us say were a lot alike, so it seemed to fit(my name is also jerry, and i've grown tired of the "junior"line for the past 21 years)

Folks, My online handle is a reference to Prometheus, the titan of Greek mythology who took fire from the gods and gave it to man. For this act, Prometheus was punished by Zeus by being chained to a rock in the Caucasus Mountains, where an eagle would tear out his liver daily, only for the liver to grow back the next day.

Unbound is what Prometheus became when freed by Hercules.

Prometheus is a symbol of genius, intelligence, innovation, and the struggle which all who have these traits live with night and day. The story of Prometheus symbolizes the natural and man-made threats we Survivalists must live with and prevail against every day.

                                Brosia,

Yours is--dare I say it--a very sweet nickname.

Ambrosia is also the name of one of my favorite Seventies smooth-rock bands who wrote and sung some of the most gut-wrenching gorgeous love songs like: "You're The Biggest Part of Me," "How Much I Feel," "You're the Only Woman," and other songs worthy of a K-Tel "Drive Your Car Off A Cliff Love Songs Collection."

                                :D
