Ive read all but the last book of the series. I really liked the earlier books better than the later stuff. and the Tie ins with Straubs work wasnt bad either.
Loved the Stand. first time I read that book I was 13 or so and sick as a dog and it was a gift from a family friend. and as luck would have it, I had most of the symptoms LOL
I have read the whole series and I also liked the style and storyline of the first books. I think I read the stand once every couple of years, I like most of Kings work.
Stand was really good. Most of his horror works I never finished because I couldn't get into them. Have read the first couple of Gunslinger books. Oh btw the way If you have a King book from Viking Press make sure you keep it. This is the publishing house that puts out ALL the true first editions of his books. Once Viking has done there rather limited release(for a King book at least) he lets Random House or another publisher release it.
