I do. Best thing I have ever found was an engagement ring once when I went to Myrtle Beach. It had to have been there for a long long time because the gold was really scratched up. I sold the ring for somewhere around 500$ or 600$ if I remember correctly. Other than that never anyhting great. Got some other things over the years just junk really

best score to date is 2 pocket knives in one day....lots of coins if you go around picnic areas.

I'm going under the bleachers at the school as soon as it lets out for summer.

I would love to go to the old traning grounds on Ft Bragg where the soldiers crawled around all day. Imagine all the old coins that must be buried in all that dirt...

I haven't, but really want one bad! I have some old homesteads and an old CCC camp I want to search among other places.

I had a friend find a miniball with a bone fragment in it....

He has also found a few cannon balls....

I've helped find a missing wedding ring (guy was out cutting wood).

How much did your metal detectors run for, you guys?

You can get a run of the mill for about $200 +/-......Cheaper after Christmas....the one I use was on sale for $160.00....it's a Bounty Hunter....retailed for $249.99.

A friend just gave me his old White....it's got a broken lead I need to fix.

I'm saving pennies for a Fisher....but that takes a lot of pennies.

We got my middle daughter one for Christmas this year. She has ADD and a short attention span so she hunts behind our targets ( not while we are shooting ) and digs up spent rounds. She knows she can always find something there. I drilled some holes in a few of them and she made a necklace and earrings from them.

polyurethane them to contain the lead....handling them is one thing.....prolonged skin exposure is another... IMO....cool idea.

I have one yet to find anything good with it though, tried it in my yard, but are yard is loaded with buried junk, yet to find a good old stash of garbage most stuff buried in the 1970's, nuts and bolts and nails mostly, I for some reason find more interesting things when im not using the metal detector
