Daughter lives in Arkansas. Says about half of the rice crop there is lost. Many silos are also under water. Stock up on rice, the locals are saying there may be no crop until next summer.

Went and checked the two 25 lb bags I got a couple of weeks ago. I buy CalRose - product of California, according to the bag. SOMEONE buys all that rice from Arkansas!

I'm fully stocked on rice...it's not a huge thing at our house (YET). I will pass this along to those who do use it. I heard this morning that the rice crop was going to be wiped out in Arkansas. I'm thinking there will be a LOT of other items that will take a beating to with all those floods! We haven't even reached hurricane season yet...
