Websites Disappearing?

Members, I just noted that a lot of websites are disappearing that I use to frequent. Is it the economy or are they being forced to shut down? Now, I have taken into account that some are just shutting down due to money issues, but some listed liability issues? Others have just disappeared. Does anyone think the gov is cracking down on sites that allow a certain freedom of expression?
