this site went from having so many people on here it was getting difficult to keep up with all the posting to trying to find something new to read in just a few months. what happened? there used to be a lot more people here than are visiting now. something is going to happen when everyone puts there guard down i can just feel it.

that's right, people become complacent... that and they come here get the info they wanted and leave without continuing to contribute... it's the nature of the beast and unfortunate. The true diehard passionate forum supporters are always here though.

I think it has a lot to do with the holidays and the hustle and bustle associated with them. For me I was busy most of Dec. with family and friends, also had surgery for Hernia repair on New Years Eve and just now starting to feel like myself again so not much prepping going on here ( I'm still limited to lifting 10 lbs or less ) Basically I'm just reading about it. I expect the real regulars to start coming back when the weather out side gets too bad to get out in it for long. Hope so anyway.

I wasn't able to get in here for a few weeks, kept getting a strange message and a weird picture.

Thought I would try again tonight and got in.

Wonder if the false virus notification is deterring members/visitors... after not ever getting the warning, I got a new update on Avira Avast... and voila, I got the notification... I ignored it and kept going, but most would not. As for the "regulars" -- post holidays, arctic weather, El Nino maybe?

I'm currently only working 4 hours a week, and living off food stamps. My prepping is mental prepping. Using my food stamps to buy an extra can of soup or a bag of beans is all I can do right now. I'm mentally prepping though. I watch the news regularly to know what's going on, and make sure my BOB and fight or flight plans are up to date based on what's happening.

i do not have a problem contributiing but it's hard as hell to get on here now i had to find a back door even tonight loved the new set up but it really sucks not being able to get on your fav site because it's supposedly infected would love the old xcolony page never had no prob's with it

The usual boxes for entering id and password appear to be layered under/on other words. When I try to log in anyway, I get an error message saying... You have used 1 out of 5 login attempts. After all 5 have been used, you will be unable to login for 15 minutes. So... my work around is to act as a visitor (no log in) until I want to add to a thread... then I'm presented with a log in screen that I can see.
