    “We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.”

    ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

    ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended.. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone — not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be..

    ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

    ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing.. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes ..

    ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we’re just not interested in public health care.

    ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

    ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

    ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

    ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

    ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don’t care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from!

    ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country’s history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

    If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don’t have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don’t. I just think it’s about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States speak out because if you do not, who will?

    My personal Declaration of Independence.

    It's not that I don't like living here, it's that I'm not happy. America was once considered the "Land of Opportunity", however, that time has come and gone. There is no longer any opportunity available in this country. Federal regulations on different aspects of life have grown to oppression. I can no longer grow my own vegitables and sell them without governmental regulations on how the crops are seeded, grown, harvested, and marketed. Then there's the imposed tax proposals which seem to infiltrate every aspect of life. Taxes upon taxes - sales tax on cigarettes which are already taxed.
    I do not feel free in this country, and no longer feel the words, "Land of the free, and home of the brave" relate to anything anymore. A dream of living in a cabin in the woods, living off the land, trading furs and pelts for seeds and grains is not possible.
    In the words of the Declaration of Independence, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." There is no pursuit of happiness available anymore. The "American Dream" consists more of wealth and of living a life of extravagance. The humble "white picket fence" is no longer a dream of most, but a wayward journey to something greater.
    "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
    Therefore, I choose to remove myself from the governing oppression found within this country. Wherever I choose to go, it will be my pursuit of happiness. I am the only person who can choose what my life consists of, and I will NOT be forced to accept anything else.
    I will not accept forceful intrusion into my personal life;
    I will not accept domination over me;
    I will not accept additional taxes on overtaxed items;
    I will not accept forced housing procedures;
    I will not accept future governmental regulations regarding how I choose to live my own life.
    What I choose to become, aspire to, or decide, it will be of my own will, and not the will of those who shall impose it upon me. It will not be the decision of a group of individuals who believe they know what is right for me. I am my own man. I do not belong to anyone, and owe allegiance to no one.
    It is not by choice, but by circumstance that I was born into this country, and it has become my choice to stand alone amongst millions who gather together.

    This is my declaration of Independence.

      that was one of the most depressingly accurate statements I've ever heard. I became aware years ago (probably about the time "slick Willie" was stating that he hadn't had sex with that woman) that things were not the same in this country. I have felt the same, discouraged, disappointed, and disgruntled.

      however, a search has led me to see that this is still the greatest country out there (so far, though our current "oily O" is working hard to ruin it). There is no longer any great escape. It's this or something worse. I choose, somewhat by lack of choice, to try and make this country something different. To make a stand and try and see it go back to what it was intended to be.

      I was born here, raised here, my forefathers helped settle this country. The principles work, buttodays world is just different. A major change needs to happen or we will all be slaves again. I don't choose to be any more of a slave than life has made me. I choose to not let my grandsons grow up thiking everything is fine. I will not shut up. I will not cave in to the government demands.

      It will be as hard to live a simple life and stand by my principles and work for a better government as it was for my forefathers to create a new land, living and country. They say we live in a "global society", but I don't buy that. I don't live in China, don't live in England...I live in America. A land that is bountiful for those who work hard. I live where the dreams of millions and millions of people have been reached for 200 years. I could care less if we built a wall around the entire country and didn't let anyone in or out for 5 years...it might solve a few problems! lol I don't know how this is all going to play out, but I'm going to do my best to make sure its a good country again.

      I wish you luck, but hope you'll join with those of us who want our country back.:)

                  i an old american citizen I refuse not to bear arms...i as an old american citizen refuse to have less than enought ammo food water and fuel on hand to support a small city.I as a veteran of the United States ofOld America vow tyo defend my country against all enemies foreign and domestic.I also vow the words are true and anybody who does not like it can kiss my crusty old right wing republican conservative southern born country music grit eating love biscuit's i made last week.sorry guys would have made the ending better but did'nt wanna upset diesel in his old age noty good fer his ticker

                            If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor
                            and then sues.


                            If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a
                            good laugh.

                            A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".
                            If it looks ignernt, but it works, then it ain't ignernt.
