Guess I'm one of the Brooks Brothers rent-a-mob. Skyowl and I, both. We went to an event Wednesday put on by our congresscritter. We had to drive over an hour in order to stand in line for another hour and a half in the produce aisles of a Safeway market in order to have "face-to-face" time with her, which amounted to about 4 minutes.

Don't think she likes me much, she tried to tell us that she's a blue dog democrat, I shook my head no and said, "You voted FOR the stimulus!" She said, "We are talking about healthcare! It's been nice talking to you."

Maybe I was too well dressed to really matter, dunno.

OBTW - While standing in line a group of people showed up wearing tshirts that said, "Human rights abuse observer". I asked one woman if she saw a lot of that. She said, "Yes, they herd people, sometimes 40 at a time into trucks and don't even give them water!" I said, "So this is abuse of Hispanics BY Hispanics?" She said, "Racist!"

So now you know. I'm a rent-a-mob racist. I hate it when that happens!

Union Thugs Deliver Unprovoked Beating on Black Conservative at Carnahan Town Hall

Email from eye witness and attorney confirms that SEIU-logo’d thugs attacked and beat a black man for distributing Gadsen flags following a Town Hall in St. Louis County on Thursday. Race was a factor in the beating.

Dear Mr. Hennessy:

I am Kenneth Gladney’s attorney. Kenneth was attacked on the evening of August 6, 2009 at Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall meeting in South St. Louis County. I was at the town hall meeting as well and witnessed the events leading up to the attack of Kenneth. Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out “Don’t Tread on Me” flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.

Kenneth was beaten badly. One assailant fled on foot; three others were arrested. Kenneth was admitted to St. John’s Mercy Medical Center emergency room, where he was treated for his numerous injuries. Kenneth was merely expressing his freedom of speech by handing out the flags. In fact, he merely asked people as they exited the town hall meeting whether they would like a flag. He in no way provoked any argument or altercation, as evidenced by the fact that three assailants were arrested.

We hope that Kenneth fully recovers from his injuries; however, he is in great pain at this time. We will be pursuing legal action at our discretion. This was a truly senseless hate crime carried out by racist union thugs. Regretfully, Representative Carnahan’s statements blaming Kenneth for being a disruptive force are wholly untrue and slanderous. We would like to think that an elected official in Representative Carnahan’s position would gather accurate information before carelessly rushing to judgment.

Kenneth supports conservative ideals, although he subscribes to no particular political party. We are calling on the SEIU, Representative Carnahan, and President Obama to condemn the racist actions of these union thugs. In the days to come, we will be investigating whether these thugs are working at the behest of Representative Carnahan and how strong their alliances to various organizations–such as ACORN–may be.

We hope the St. Louis Tea Party and tea party organizations around the country will protest Representative Carnahan’s offices and also protest SEIU offices in every major city across the U.S. These Democratic strong-arm tactics must end now.

The St. Louis Tea Party coalition joins in the call for apologies from Carnahan, SEIU, and President Obama. This criminal attack was inspired by DNC and BarackObama.com propaganda. Only Thursday morning, the White House promised “punch back twice as hard.” Clearly, the goons of SEIU decided to draw the first blood.

We believe that this attack was planned and intended to create a riot to discredit the American political resistence. Luckily, the patriots who attend tea parties and town halls did not take the bait. Mr. Gladney did not fight back. Mr. Gladney, like Crispus Attucks, suffered for the promise of freedom — the freedom his race was so long denied. We salute Kenneth Gladney. We are proud that he is on our side.

We all pray for Ken. May he recover quickly and fully from his injuries inflicted by leftist thugs in an attempt to subvert his First Amendment rights.

Democrat leaders find it very hard to imagine that the people have a voice, they think if they ridicule you, defame you or threaten you, you will just tuck your tail between your legs and whimper all the way back home. They say you work for the insurance companies, that you really like the healthcare bill but talk radio and internet rumor mongers are what has you hipped up into such a frenzy, but just in case they are wrong the AFL-CIO will send out their goon squad to shut you up, if you do not know what I mean by goon squads you have never seen a strike, if you cross their picket lines you can and will be beaten, this is nothing more than more heavy handed tactics from an administration who has in the last twenty-four hours launched a blog post with a snitch email so that Americans can turn in other Americans for using their right to privacy and freedom of speech, has launched a campaign against the people on the airwaves calling them nothing but mobsters and now they will be deploying the heavy hitters to these town meetings to try and intimidate the people. If you have any hope of stopping the healthcare bill, they will beat it out of you and you will see true Obama and democrat transparency for a CHANGE.

As usual do not expect any help from the state run media as MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer seems to have a problem with protestors carrying Bibles, she says they are props and Nancy received air time to claim that you were bearing swastikas, and of course we are the dangerous nuts, so far I do not believe a single protestor has trampled anyone’s first amendment right like the president has, not one single email I have received concerning the healthcare plan has seemed the slightest bit fishy, I take that back the White House did send me one. They say you are all right wing nuts; I think you might want to take your voters registration with you if you voted for him and show it to them. Did they really think that the people who went to the tea parties were going to just go away? Did they really believe the people would just accept socialized healthcare because Obama said it would be OK? In any other country it might have worked, in a country where the people had never known freedom, in a country where they are not allowed to read anything but state run news papers, but not here, not now. You have taken the American people for granted for too long; you have watched them slave day in and day out and sat their counting how much more you could get out of them.

Nancy orders three new jets, while a single working mom tries to figure out how to pay the rent, put food on the table and dear God buy gas for the car. The president labels elderly as the reason for the high deficit on national TV, while a senior citizen is hoping and praying their treatment works before they pass this bill and they get no more treatments because they are too old and a burden and they don’t think we are angry. They think we need talk radio to tell us how to feel, to tell us what to do, they think we are working for big insurance, we wear to nice a clothing, we are wearing swastikas, next Nancy will be saying they were wearing white hoods and the media will be reporting it as truth. Let’s start taking our own videos, show what is really going on, have some real news for a change, to hell with the state run propaganda machine. What next Obama, where are you going to put us all, have you already got a place for us to go or do you plan to see if you can get some other country to take us? If the AFL-CIO accosts us will we be read our Miranda rights? Or is that just reserved for those trying to kill our troops?

You know the American people are winning, how dare we interrupt Camelot, how dare we embarrass you among your dictator friends, the game is up the American people know who you really are Obama and they don’t like it. The American people are having their say I suggest you shut up and listen.

Exactly my whole point in trying to keep up with what is going on at these meetings (martial law). ;)

People are tired of being ignored and waved off as insignificant. This is the first time I have ever witnessed these type of activities by the "average" person, or as someone else called them, "Brooks Brothers Brigade," to this degree anyway.

I am hearing the words, "Revolution, War, and Tyranny," now more then ever before, from countless people in all stages of life. Interesting times we are living in. :(

Yes, pushing the agenda and being more brazen against American citizens who dare to oppose their views. It is all coming out into the open now. I believe the lines are being drawn and at some point in time, all of us will have to make a choice. I am not looking forward to that moment.

They are hard at work stirring up the passions of hard-working, good people. This is the only positive I see in the entire situation. Though, I am not sure if it is intentional, this seeking a reaction from the people, or if "we the people" have been silent for so long, they thought they could get away with it with very little opposition. (?) Haven't figured that one out yet..

I agree, the playbook is SOP for averting discussion topics and crowd control, however, the Obama team has now upped the ante by bringing in union goons to marshal these events by quelling all opposition. I believe this to be a turning point from civil assembly to, well, an uprising in the making. Most people still resist being strong-armed.

I just finished reading "To Live or to Perish Forever:My Two Tumultous years in Pakistan" The author is a journalist covering the Paki political scene. The country is called "broken" even by it's own people. Everybody is corrupt, even the Moderates use torture, murder etc on thier opponents. Thousands of political murders occure each year. Tribal loyalities are the only thing that matters in that country and that's where america is headed now, straight to the 3rd world.
