Thanks for sharing this article Oz. 'I think'. The way things are spiriling, I tend to believe this sooner if not later. All i can think about are my kids. Have to protect them and make the correct decisions when the situation arises. I think all fathers and husbands fear the words 'what are we going to do'. When does "flu season" typically begin? Whenever that date is.....is probably when we need to have all major preps completed by.

I live in a low population denisty area however in my local bi-monthly paper there is a report of an outbreak at a very small Christian summer camp near Antelope, OR the summer camp was canceled as a result. The illness is assumed to be H1N1 or what ever they call it. The fact that this was 'caught' in mid summer or that the health authorities of a very lightly populated county(1 person per square mile) proceeded on the assumption it is swineflu shows how seriously they are taking this event. Because I live and work in an agicultural occupation I get exposed to every bug that comes-up from Mexico, I hope that provides some immunity.
it is my understanding that Flu viruses are all around us but as the weather turns colder we close our windows, sneeze more and it is easier to get a dose of the flu, especialy during winter holiday shopping and travel. This causes the virus to spread and mutate more abundantly.
Shop by mail, take lots of vitamins, etc, carry a hanky to sneeze into.

Am I the only one here that takes the Flu vaccine and wants to take any offered for strains that might strike?

I don't believe that vaccines should be forced on people and will take my vaccine and still stand beside those that fight against being forced to take a vaccine. For me it is a dilemma becuase by taking the vaccine I would be following an order I agree with but feel is wrong.

It also makes me wonder how many would refuse and why, and also why the use of force might ever be considered. Civil wars and unrest can easily kill more than the flu.

Have you researched this vaccine?? It has many more "fillers" than passed flu vaccines because the gov is pushing the pharm industry to developed it quickly and make a lot of it. The fillers are designed to boost the immune effect of the vaccine, but because there are more than usual it will push the immune system into hyper-overdrive. The immune system will attack good everything in your body that it views as a threat, even if it is something your body needs. There have already been deaths in Australia from the vaccine. I urge you to do your research

I will not be taking the vaccine voluntarily.
There is formaldehyde, murcury and a host of other things in it. While it may not be enough to kill you, little by little it builds up in your body and will break down your immune system. Here is a listing of ingredients in some common vaccines. I'm not a doctor, but I do know that avoidance and a healthy immune system are just as important to resisting the flu. As for vaccines for other diseases, some are absolutely needed, as the disease was so devestating and prevalent that it was obviously something we'd want to take, and in some cases it virtually eradicated the disease (small pox, polio etc). Those are MUCH different than an every changing variety of flu. It's been proven also that #1-the best immunity to flu is to have had it in the past and #2-the vaccine itself is not affective enough (less than 50%) to take the chance. JMO

I haven't been offered it yet, but I don't like being told what to do, that is for sure.

My husband has been a member of the volunteer fire department for almost 20 years. He runs Rescue occasionally. We've discussed it, and I've stated my case in no uncertain terms that he should not take any vaccine. he also recently joined Fire Police, which has a provision that they get 'deputized' or whatever the correct term is in case of martial law. No murmurs yet.

I will not take a flu vaccine, and I guess we'll be homeschooling this year, because there is no way in hell I will let my children take this. It's bad enough all the crap I let them inject in my children since birth (thinking it was good for them), but I've come to believe more and more it's dangerous to their health.

I'm upping my preps (have been for a while), really stockpiling the food and OTC meds, plus freezing plenty of prepared meals for the kids in case I should succumb to the flu (I'm one of those with underlying medical problems- asthmatic)
