I know it isn't until Saturday, but since many of you will be going places and doing things, just wanted to wish you a safe and fun Fourth of July. With this time in our history, it sure makes me reflect on why it is Independence Day.

I am a volunteer at our local TEA party on the 4th. Afterwards, we will have a cookout with friends and family. :)

Just back from one of my favorite local stores! It’s a small “Gourmet Food & Meat Shop.” It’s really the “store front” for a long time family owned meat processing place (think family owned deer & game processor who has been so successful people hounded till they opened a retail store front.). Anyhoo straight to the booty………………..



2 Preachers Pride Steaks, (Story goes, in the old days when the Preacher Man would come by for dinner he always got the best cut of meat.)
4 Bacon Cheeseburger Patties
4 Cajun Blue cheese Patties
1 Block Smoked Bacon Cheese
1 Smoked Salmon Fillet (Cream Cheese & Chives)
1 Pack Baby Jack Sticks W/ Pepper Jack Cheese
1 Pack Green Beans W/ Bacon & Onions
1 Lrg Jar, Pickled Garlic Cloves

These culinary masterpieces will be enjoyed with family and friends over the holiday weekend. You may have noticed a theme there. Meat, cheese, and of course BACON!

I hope everyone has a safe weekend with family and loved ones. For our brothers and sisters away from their families around the world………many prayers and good thoughts! For those directly in harm’s way, you keep pouring it on! We love you, we support you, and I swear we will never forget you!
