my job

The lay-offs have begun. I work at a local Treatment Center for adoloscents who have problems with alcohol and drugs. I do all the financial Intakes. That just means that I see everyone when they first come in to go over how they're going to pay. My job is much more than that of course but could easily be absorbed.
So.......those on here (and I know there are many) who believe in prayer, please keep me lifted up.
And those who don't, send many happy thoughts. LOL Thanks everyone!
I'm going out West this fall come hell or high water so that trip is still ON!!!!!

You are in my prayers Unswydd. I know that this is a very hard time for many. My husband had to lay off sixteen people, the hardest being a 19 year old kid with no family. It broke his heart. Good news is that he did find another job.
Good for you to plan on making your trip! Sometimes you must do what makes you happy. Good luck!

We do take medicaid but the "O" is cutting that along with our governor The big Quinn. They already only pay half of the daily fee and if they cut that in half then it'll really hurt. That's the plan. It's either that or raise all our state taxes, again......UGHGHGHGHGH!!!!!!!
And here I am going to a TEA party. Nothing like being in the enemies camp so my boss would say. Oopppssss!!!!!
Kinda makes me wonder about all of this. What to do.....go to a TEA party or a Protest to raise taxes. OMG!!!

LOL Ya know Wife. I think you're right! This makes me boiling mad!!! They let go of 8 people yesterday. 3 of which have been there 15 years or longer. I am appalled at all of this. the more I think of it the madder I get!

State bennies, union pay, never run out of customers, job won't go over sea's, and the worse the economy gets the more work you get.

I didn't mean as a corrections officer, there are lots of jobs within that are similar to your current one. It's not like in the movies or tv.

Can't be for lack of customers? There is overcrowding all over the country and your state may close some? Close older ones once more modern are on line, ok. Close just to close, what will they do with all the convicts?
