  • A FINE rant!

I ran across this over at Free Republic. It was so good, I read it again. Wanted to share. Bold emphasis is mine.
Until we have a Weltenschaung that systematically replaces the old ideals of the 19th century, of collectivism and its vile spawn, with an in depth analysis of the requirements for individual liberty we will not begin to win the raging wars that engulf us.

Given our nature as human beings, these wars will always be with us. We must fight them over and over again. Paul Johnson, in his Modern Times had this to say:
Of the trio of great German imaginative scholars who offer explanations of human behavior in the nineteenth century, and whose corpus of thought the post-1918 world inherited, only two so far have been mentioned.

Marx described a world in which the central dynamic was economic interest. To Freud, the principal thrust was sexual. Both assumed that religion, the old impulse that moved men and masses, was a fantasy and always had been.

Friedrich Nietzsche, the third of the trio, was also an atheist. But he saw God not as an invention, but as a casualty, and His demise as in some important sense an historical event which would have dramatic consequences. He wrote in 1886: "The greatest event in recent times - that 'God is Dead,' that the belief in the Christian God is no longer tenable - is beginning to cast its first shadows upon Europe." Among the advanced races, the decline and ultimately the collapse of the religious impulse would leave a huge vacuum.

Nietzsche rightly perceived that the most likely candidate would be what he called the 'Will to Power,' which offered a far more comprehensive and in the end more plausible explanation of human behavior than Marx or Freud. In place of religious belief, there would be secular ideology. Those who had once filled the ranks of the totalitarian clergy would become totalitarian politicians. And above all the Will to Power would produce a new kind of messiah, uninhibited by any religious sanctions whatsoever, and with an unappeasable appetite for controlling mankind."

Let's say that again: "And above all the Will to Power would produce a new kind of messiah, uninhibited by any religious sanctions whatsoever, and with an unappeasable appetite for controlling mankind."

That's who we're dealing with now. The Constitution and the rule of law are just so much toilet paper to those who would rule us now. Our values are punchlines to sneering liberal party jokes.

This is the endgame of Gramsci’s and Alinsky's heirs and disciples. These are the murderous great-great-great-great-grandchildren of the French Revolution, cold-eyed with contempt for you and yours; spiral-eyed crazy with hate for what you believe in and possessed of an utterly unappeasable appetite for controlling mankind. Just as Hitler was completely candid in "Mein Kampf" about what he intended to do with Germany, the Jews and the world, so the Left has been completely up front about where they intend to take America, how they've planned to do it and what they're going to do once they achieve absolute power. So, when it comes to the Constitution and rule of law, my pretties, they’ll not only sweep the pieces off the board, they’ll upend the table and put a bullet in you while they’re at it. As far as the Left is concerned, rules are for losers and history, godawful bloody history is my witness.

The reality is that we’ll never see another truly free, open and honest election in this country until after the next American Civil War and the death of millions. And the America we'll have after that won't be the America we started with - for good or for ill. It was always and ever up to us.

Remember that the people who've now gotten their hands on the apparatus of the State would rather rule in Hell than live in peace with the rest of us. They will happily reduce Western civilization to stinking pile of rubble and corpses as long as they believe that they will be the ones sitting on top of the rubble heap.

Wake up, people. You’re not going to talk or vote your way out of the tyranny that’s coming. And that’s precisely the point of tyranny, isn’t it? None of us have a Get Out of History Free card, either. None.

Your circumstances can and will change overnight.

That's one of the great lessons that so many of us have failed to learn from the history of the twentieth century. Fat, happy, stupid and "it can't happen here," is how most of us are except for the ones who are actually cheering for it to happen here. And then there those of us who see exactly what's going on and are prepared for the eventual outcomes. We're preparing for war.

Change is coming, oh yes indeed - but it's not what any of that Marxist meat puppet's worshipers bargained for. Rand had it right all these many years ago when she said that there is no personal neutrality today. Time to get off the fence. Time to stand up and be heard. Time to start getting together with like-minded people. Time to organize your list of Things To Do, Places To Go and People To Meet. Because when your favorite websites suddenly go dark, when your cell phones and other comm nets no longer work, when the roadblocks go up, when you hear the knock on the door - then it’ll be too damned late.

It will be too late unless you're willing, like Atlas, to shrug - and then pick up a gun before they come for you. Unless you're willing to take action, you aren't going to get your country back, much less preserve your own freedom and dignity.

So don't just sit there with a pile of ammo and a gun in your closet. Participate in the nearest Appleseed Project shoot and join a community of like minded people turning ammunition into skill. Join up with Glenn Beck's 912 Project - a latter-day network of the original Committees of Correspondence - to meet more like-minded folks. Connect with people in your own neighborhood to build your own 'Alarm and Muster' network.

It may be the last chance we're going to get.

Ayn Rand once said, "The world is a beautiful place and worth fighting for. But not without Freedom." Stand with me. Stand with us. And if you think that freedom is passé or over-rated, just wait until you see what your new masters replace it with.

We are what they fear most - informed, armed and unafraid citizens.

Finally, on the dawn of that "dark modern day" of which Titus Livy spoke over 2000 years ago, when it does all go bad - as it now seems that it will - resolve at the very least to sell your life dearly. Do your best to kill every one who comes for you, your family or your means of self-defense. Make them pay, for if that's what they're coming to do, they are enemies of human freedom and they are unfit to live in a free society. In fact, they are just plain unfit to live. If you surrender to this evil, not only is your cause lost, but you will also strengthen those who would perpetrate their evil on others. And that's the greatest guilt of all...

I started hearing this in the last couple of days (though not so well explained). The talk news was saying that all these "tzars", being unauthorized, is actually a shadow government that only answers to Obama. Even some of the Congress are starting to get very nervous. Obama is essentially setting up his own government with no control by anyone else and no oversight.

[The talk news was saying that all these "tzars", being unauthorized, is actually a shadow government that only answers to Obama.]

Shadow government has been "around" for a long time....Mr obama is merely a puppet to entertain, annoy, or distract us from seeing what is taking place right in front of us....just as were the Bushes, Clinton, Reagan.....been going on for a looooong time. Lots of things been taking place over the decades....tests to see what we as a society would tolerate and events to move the masses into position for further test....I know, I'm beginning to sound like a conspiracy theorist:(
Oh....most excellent post S O'sW....can I call you Wise Owl?

Not sure our elected government has been in charge since FDR.

Good posts. I know everytime I see or hear the word czar - tzar, I can think of nothing but communism/marxism. Seems everyday some new *zar is being named for one thing or another, yes and all outside the normal channels of accountability.

Do you think that having all of these *zars (lol...I always forget spell check) that it he thinks it makes him a "prince"?
Hoenstly, it's a concern in so many ways...right now the press is having fun with this, but underneath, I can see a growing anger and concern. What bugs me is; WHY isn't congress more concerned? After all, this puts them "out of the loop" so to speak and usurps their powers?

One of the best posts on this board! It's the bold truth of what is happening right before our eyes. This is not an individual fight anymore with a few people being attacked for what we believe to be right and true. No man should have to stand alone against those that take away his freedom or values. There is strength in numbers, and I don't believe it's just with a voice.

It looks to me like he's building his own Politbureau.

So far, they are letting him get away with it because they are part of the "elite" in this oligarchy. BUT, they may be becoming concerned. THEY have to stand election in 17 months. If the vote is SO overwhelmingly against them, even ACORN shouldn't be able to save their bacon. We MUST rabble-rouse and get everyone we know to get out and vote.

Expansion of government by the means necessary to control population growth in a determined area forms the basis of tyrrany. To follow the commands of said government expansion is to forcibly put ones self into oppression.

Our currency is the basis upon which government expansion will lead us into oppression. The more currency that is needed, and delivered by government backed institutions, the less able we, as a private people, are to be private.

Paper currency is our last bit of privacy in the country, and 'they' are trying to eliminate that as well. Once we allow ourselves to be overthrown by the need for electronic currency, we no longer have our privacy; we no longer have freedom; we are no longer individual.

In the end, our great establishment, formed on the basic morality of God, our independance in Life, and our ability to sustain ourselves in Liberty will constrain us into a lifestyle where we have none of these things, whereby eliminating our own Pursuit of Happiness. Buy into it, and you lose it all.

Very Good post.. Well written.. I will take the liberty to spread that one around abit. The next election will be the death of the Republicans. Their are good on both sides I guess, but it seems that I have always agreed with the republicans more. However, I think that we are all fed up with the whole lot of them. It is heading down the crapper for sure. People will start turning on people like us I fear. Be the good citizen, call the fuzz when they see you moving a few weapons around. "Community Watch" will have a new meaning, that's for sure.

After watching what they did in the 2000 election, I swore that if Jesus came to earth and ran for office, if it was as a democrap, I wouldn't vote for Him.

I was horrified, they so attempted to pervert our voting process. I sat up nights and read the reports of the absolute crap they pulled. I wept the night I was reading the story of them throwing out the military votes. I still call that "election hell month".

This has been common in every election since then, too, including the Al Franken theft of his senate seat. I heard on the radio yesterday how they are STILL claiming that the stolen election in Iran is identical to how George Bush stole the 2000 election. Even after several independent recounts all finding that Mr. Bush had more votes.

The Republicans haven't yet found their voices (they need to hurry up!), many are saying "more moderates!". They are full of crap. Why vote for a demo-lite like John McCain? Only reason I voted for him in this last election was because I recognized BO for the Marxist he was.

I love it when Dick Cheney speaks out. One of the WORST things George Bush did was not have someone on the talking head shows refuting EVERY lie the democraps and media spread. Every weekend they should have hit the airwaves with a list of the current lies, refuting them point-by-point. Hell, they should have done it every DAY. They didn't, and so, the only voices heard by America were from the lying. anti-American, anti-freedom, power hungry ASSHATS on the left. As a result our freedoms are falling like flies.

Ronald Reagan led from his convictions. Conservative convictions. When the RNC calls asking for money, I've quit answering the phone mostly. When I DO answer, they get a rant from hell. They MUST get the message to uphold traditional American values or we will be toast in 2010 and if we don't take back a chunk of the house and senate then, we'll never have another even semi-honest election without CWII.

I agree with you my friends..I am afraid that the "American People" just don't care, and the liberals have know idea what they are asking for. Then, they are going to get it shoved down their throat and we are going to get it shoved up the other end. I hit the tea party, I saw the breif news on the "P-O" citizens ranting about the fear of taxes, stupid bailouts and this new climate that is being created. We see and feel the persicution coming for us, and see it coming fast. The population dose not see it. They just see the need for the goverment to spend and tax and "everything will work out".. It will take them by suttle surprize like a toxic gas....

I'm afraid that I have no patience for democrats OR rebuplicans these days. They are BOTH guilty of doing horrible things that eroded our rights. Though I grew up as a republican and have voted that way mostly, I just can't condone either party any more. Republicans didn't stop the Patriot act, nor did they demand a repeal once the crisis was over. And though Obama decries the "mess left by the previous administration" and rushes to charge the CIA and limit military and welcome Iran, I notice he has neglected to close the Patriot Act himself.

It really doesn't matter...it seems that most all are now "career" politicians and there are way to many lawyers amoungst them. I will not vote an incumbent in, except for one or two...Ron Paul, is my choice and I wish he'd jump from the republican party. Unfortunetely, there is a lock out for anything but the two main parties. Do any of you wonder what would have happened if McCain had had Lieberman as a running mate? I'm sorry for the rant, folk. I'm just sick to death of politicians in general.

No....no wonder, they would then be the ones we'd blame for the exact same deteriorating social conditions we're concerned with now. This is all an illusion, a slight of hand....look deeper....where there is smoke there is fire....we're just being shown the outer ring.
