  • school board passes lesson plan

this is one more example that this country is going down quicker... and am ashamed to be part of it..... i saw it on fox news this morning.. the video is titled .....Age appropiate? its about a school board in california passing a lesson plan to teach same sex relationships to kindergarden to 5th grade. its just a downright shame this is going on.

I saw this on Fox News also. What really upsets me is that the parents of these children will not be told when this lesson plan will be taught, therefore they will not be able to opt out.

Missouri adopted that lesson a year or two ago. Told the principle if it showed up in my kid's school, I would pull my kids and have them home schooled. He told me that he did not agree with the lesson either, therefore he was not going to allow it there. how he managed that I don't know. Its not up to the goverment to force that kind of teachings to our kids, its a moral teaching, and is a parents desicion wether or not you want your kids to learn. I chose to teach my kids the christian beleif, and natures way of life.(sorry it came out this way, I know what is in my head but to put to words, well not very good at that sort of thing.)

When my kids were in school, I "opted" them out of both sex ed and the DARE program. One child went through DARE, and reported that now he knew all about drugs, while a kids in his class called the police on her parents next time she got mad at them, saying they were drinking too much and took drugs. The kids used to call DARE the official "snitch on parents class". There are some things that should be taught by parents with their own beliefs.
I understand that for kids and parents in the district that just passed this new "lesson plan" that there will be no "opting out" and no warning of when it will be taught.

it makes me sick that a bunch of sick perverts are trying to take over this country and shape it to their will. its gonna get worser as time goes on. i am gonna get ready more as soon as a situation resolves here.

This is one reason that I say to hell with the public school system. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 6 month old daughter that will attend private christian school or be home schooled. What the hell are these idiots thinking!!!

I'm glad I don't have children, but for those who do think about this:

You wake up in the morning, get your kids ready for school, and ship them off to some building with hundreds or thousands of other kids. They are basically being raised by the teachers and school board, and they learn things through the interaction of other kids.

Our kids are being raised not by the parents they live with, but by the society they mingle with on a daily basis. Because of our economy throughout the past 20 or 30 years, it is no longer an option to have one parent stay home to raise the kids, and the other go off to work to support the family.

Your taxes pay the school board to make the descisions on how to educate and raise your children, and the only way to ensure that they are being taught the morals and discipline you would like them to have is to be able to teach them yourself. I know this isn't an option with most parents barely able to support their families, but it makes sense.

Exactly! I gave up a lot and had to litterally beat the bushes to find food for my family so I could stay home. My husband and I say now, that if we had kids in this day, we would not be sending them to public school.
