  • Non-Prep-Peeps looking fer ammo

On a couple of chat rooms "people that never had a clue" are now looking fer ammo; still they are turnining thier noses-up at FMJ pistol ammo because it is not "Defensive ammo".
They lost-out at the first onset and now they are entering Dawinian Terratory

ammo is getting so scarce around here people are taking anything they can get. i have heard that the ammo problems is getting better. but that is a big fat lie i see no improvement in any handgun cartridge. now even the stuff that was always easy to locate like 12 gauge is getting increasingly more difficult to find.

I started lookin' when the Great, Magnificient, All Seeing Obama got elected.

It has done nothing but gone down hill since then. As more and more folks see what "Hope and Change" are all about, they start to think that maybe they should stock up on some basic stuff. Ammo is just one of those items. Unfortunately, as time has gone by, ammo has gone into the twilight zone as far as costs go. For some, it is too late.:(

I used to purchase from here: http://east.outdoormarksman.com/inde...se=east....for the last 8 months the bulk and surplus quantities read "0" I purchase two boxes each of 15 count 12 ga 00 and slug on my weekly walmart adventures....I once heard someone say...or maybe I read it..."If I have just one bullet I can have anything I need" ...if your up on your game this can be true. Don't worry.

That is a high risk strategy. Unless of course one plans to use the bullet on themselves. There is a reason I like to have weapons with a longer reach than those who might come attacking. I want to have my targets in my range before I am in their range. I will be throwing 30-06 and 50 caliber lead at anyone who thinks they are taking my stuff with their one bullet.
My weapon can kill, it isn't limited to mere assault

One must exercise caution and choose their battles wisely. The single bullet strategy isn't mine....but I well understand the remark.

Indeed, I wasn't suggesting it was yours, just pointing out the problems with the strategy.

I understand the one bullet remark, but I think most who are competent to choose a battle wisely, probably have more than one bullet. I am not sure that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Certainly there will be probably be weapons on the ground when people are done killing each other, you can probably just go round up some guns and ammo if things get really bad of those who didn't make it. That might be a good zero bullet strategy.
