I am part Cherokee and served with a guy who was full Cherokee. We were in Denmark one time and got into a fight with some Iranian's (by the way- they can not fight very well). The following morning at the breakfast table he gave me my indian name- Lil Bear. He had it put in the books in Oklahoma.

This is the DSR-1. It is similar to the DSR-50, the 50 cal version. The DSR-1 was chambered for .308 win, .300 win-mag, and the .338 lapua magnum. Picture this rifle, but tougher, larger, and lethal at longer distances.

    Stolen from Wikipedia:
Bullpup is a firearm configuration in which the action and magazine are located behind the trigger. This increases the barrel length relative to the overall weapon length, permitting shorter weapons for the same barrel length, saving weight and increasing maneuverability. It alternatively allows for longer barrels on weapons of the same length, which can increase muzzle velocity. Higher muzzle velocities result in flatter trajectories, a longer effective range, and, in some cases, increased lethality.
Thanks for the info, will look up some examples so I can picture this.

Anything that makes it easier to reach out and touch someone accurately at a greater distance is a GOOOOOOD thing in my book!

    Great thread, btw!

Mine is a reference to H.P. Lovecraft, one of my favorite authors. His stories never have happy endings, there are no love interests, and the protagonist usually ends up dead or insane from the horrible insights into reality gained during the story. Cheerful, eh? Suits me to a "T" as I am one pessimistic so an so. That usually makes me a happy guy however as, contrary to popular belief, preparing for the worst and hoping for the best usually works out quite well for me.

    :D

Is your bday really Feb 29? LOL! Dunno if that is lucky or unlucky.

I don't know what a bullpup is, but I like the .50 cal part. Would like a turret with a .50 cal on my truck sometimes to get the left-lane commandos to move the hell over.

Spelunk around and find my posting about Pinole, I learned a bunch from that one.
