I am curious of how everyone came up with their board names.
Mine, Lostinoz, relates to being tossed into a world/land that I cannot understand, like Dorothy in Wizard of Oz. It is how I feel in my own country at this point. :(
1991, after returning from Desert Shield / Desert Storm, I was involved in a program to select a follow-on to the Army UAV we used over Iraq. Two companies were in competition. TRW with the Hunter program, and McDonnel Douglas with the Skyowl program. I was what is called the Mission Commander and my call sign was Skyowl 1. I have used that ever since. Sometimes I still use the 1 after the name.
As Zombie Axe would say...

When I lived in the city, I lived in an idustrial area that not many other people lived in. I was the only person living on the top 2 floors of an old brown stone. I parked my cars in a garage behind an abandoned church and my Harley in the vacant basment apartment. I rigged my apartment with window bars and steel reinforced my two doors and installed CCTV on the front entrance and back entrance. . I traveled for work all of the time so every thing was on timers and motion sensors. I even had a store manikin that I moved a round my place so if some one looked up in the windows it looked like some one was there when I was not. When I had friends or guests over they would comment on how my place and they way I lived reminded them of the ( 1971 ) movie the . Omega Man So the name stuck.
What a great thread I can see this is going to be. Omegaman I especially like yours. I have always imagined living like that. How interesting.
Mine is Welsh for "Of One Purpose". In my past I was never very stable as far as what I believed in or stood for. It wasn't until about 13 years ago that I started to figure "it" out and began a journey that has brought me here. I am stable in all my ways and intend to stay that way! I know what I believe and what I stand for and am unmoveable!

I have been involved in living history for ten years now and primarily the frontier border wars of the last half of the 18th century. My name is the Algonquian word for the "long knives", or long hunters. It fairly represents the persona and skill set I try to recreate.

...and I ride around on his coattails.

I'm a banjo player (obviously). Banjo players have a 'reputation' as being 'bad boys and girls'. That is probably true (and don't we have fun!) but we can still be ladies when we want to! LOL

LOL Banjo! My favorite part is the "(and don't we have fun!)" I'm sure you do! I'm a harmonica player and I got the rep too. LOL
