I live in Conway now, and they aren't just willing to be that friendly. We are from Viola. That is where the folks are still friendly. Down here in the big city, folks are just a little different. I sure do miss being up home. By the way, that is our BOL.

I do know that it will be based around a cured ham. Happy Easter everyone.
I am glad to hear your daughter is feeling better this morning!

Wow, I thought folks in Arkanasas still do things like bringing over a plate or dish. I haven't lived in AR. for about, oh, wow, twenty years now, however we do still travel there frequently to visit family. We have quite a bit of family in the Mountain Home area.

Hmm, never really thought about it, was just enjoying the fact that we still have it. If it was gone, I would most definitely miss it. :)

    Let's see...

I could do fried apples in butter..
    Deviled eggs could be done..
A version of green bean casserole could be done..
Steamed broccoli, but couldn't make THE broccoli salad.
    Stuffed mushrooms.
A version of potato salad could be done..
    Corn..
    ------
I would probably have to trade the ham for fish or chicken.
Grape salad could be substituted with blackberries, raspberries or blueberries.
Rolls would probably be substituted with pan fried bread.

Overall I guess if things get that bad, I will just be happy to have anything at all. :)

A 60 lb turkey! Wow! Any pics??

    started a topic Easter Dinner

    Easter Dinner

(Something to take my mind off of Lil Bear's Zombie warning ;) )

We sure do love our holiday dinners here in the Oz family!

We are cooking: Deviled eggs, spiraled ham, potato salad, grape salad, broccoli salad, homemade mac & cheese, green bean casserole, baked beans, rolls, corn, stuffed mushrooms, coconut cake, dessert bars, banana pudding and apple pie as well as sweet tea for all.

We only have a couple of small kids in the family at the moment, however they will hunt Easter eggs. All of us bigger kids will play ball, frisbee, pitch horseshoes to work off all of that dinner. :)

What's for dinner at your house?
