Anti - Groups or Organization.

Why is it that all of the Anti - groups are always telling everyone else they have to change or do things their way or stop what they are doing because they are wrong. This is America if you don't like some thing that is your right but don't jam your ideals down my throat. I don't tell vegans and vegetarians they have to eat meat. I don't tell anti - gun people that they have to own guns and I don't tell anti - hunters that they have to hunt or fish. Maybe that is my problem I let people have their own beliefs and make thier own choices with out forcing mine upon them. Maybe as gun owners and hunters we need to protest that more people need to hunt and own guns and we could get some Hollywood types on our side and super models wearing nothing but a Glocks or AR 15s and a smile.:D Ok I am done venting:(

Guilt! The only way these "anti" groups are successful is by promoting their guilt evoking propaganda day after day.

Anti-guns; Show repeatedly and tell often about the many people who were killed by a crazed gunman. Even better if you can throw small children into the mix who were killed by (illegal) gun bearers.

Anti-fur, Anti-hunting; Show cuddly baby (pooh) bears and how horrible it is to destroy them for their fur or meat. Repeatedly give animals human characteristics to slap that guilt on even stronger.

True story:

I have a sister-in-law who is against guns and hunting. We had dried some deer jerky and had left it out on the counter. She walks over and picks up a piece and starts oohing and ahhing over how good the "beef" jerky is, all the while I am giving her strange looks. She happens to catch my look and starts gagging, "It's deer isn't it" and couldn't clean out her mouth fast enough. LOL

Here is the disconnect..she LIKES beef jerky, LIKES burgers, LIKES sausage, etc., BUT she doesn't have to KILL it before eating it.

Where is the logic?? There is none. THIS is what our government is filled with at the moment, people who haven't a clue about real life.

Now don't get me wrong, I LIKE my sister-in-law, I just don't understand her.

Sorry, I am just in a bad mood today. I lost my job today.

Oz- sorry about your job! I hope you'll find another soon. At least you'll have food to eat, being a prepper. That's one of the best reasons I can think of for prepping!

Omegaman is right! I am so tired of being pushed around by the PC crowd, telling me what to eat, when to eat, what not to do, when to do it, etc. I am definitely not shy about sharing my views, however I am courteous and respect the opinions of others, however THEY do not give me the same courtesy.

Sorry to hear about the job OZ. It 's bad every place. In 01/09 we took pay cuts and a cut in hours but it did save some jobs for which I am thankful. My grandfather use to say times like these are like a sh*T sandwich, the more bread you have the less sh$t you have to eat. The good thing is with all of the belt tightening it is much easier to rotate through my food stocks.

With talking about the Anti's, we can also talk about the anti-preppers. I had a 15 minute disscussion/argument with a clerk behind an ammo counter because I bought 4 boxes of ammo. It was the last 2 boxes of 9mm, 1 box of 300 wm and 1 box of 45 they had. She started going on about what were we going to do when the local police ran out of ammo because they purchased theirs from this store and these people stock pileing ammo were going to make things bad for all. I said that I was sure they would have multiple sources and a why was she telling me, I was buying 4 freaking boxes. After a few minutes of listening to her ridiculous rantings I was sick of it and said, Well I have enough to protect myself, so I'll be alright and left. I've been in twice since then and she has not said a word about it again.

Some people just need a cause.

Yep, fear and guilt tactics. I think you handled that situation very well. :) Their kind will back down when you stand up to them.

Did she say stockpiling or did she say hoarding? I only ask because the media seems to think that any act of saving is actually hoarding. :rolleyes:

I guess I am "anti" anyone/entity who is encroaching upon my rights and liberties. I am "anti" anyone/entity who considers the constitution to be just an old outdated document.

I am "anti" those with entitlement attitudes. Black, white, green, yellow, makes no difference to me.

As for working together, I don't see that happening as we can't get past the mud-slinging and completely different mindsets. It is a shame really. There is no longer a meeting of the minds, not that I have evidenced.

But to add, should I come upon a liberal bleeding in the street, yep, I would do what I could to help that person. I am not cold hearted, just tired of being taken advantage of as one of the silent majority.

Regarding the military; A friend told me that their first duty is to uphold the constitution, is that correct? How they choose to live their lives is no concern of mine, as long as my views are respected as well.
