    Be Warned these Ishmaelites...

I have quietly told a number of conservative people at work to find a locker or such..even an extra locker and begin quietly and discretely stocking it up a bit at a time with long shelf life foods....dried foods et al...
I think most of the non conservatives would not believe you if you told them.

If nothing comes of this ...they have not lost much.....
If it is true....they will be bombarded by Ishmaelites who only talk about the Super Bowl and the demi gods of sports....for an 8 to 12 hour shifts and want someone else to breast feed them when the going gets rough..

I have to date stocked up three such lockers...over about a years time..

The big problem with stocking up food is their expiration dates. I have long term food buckets that are now expired.

I doubt food shortages will be that bad; OTOH, will you be able to afford the price is the question.

Let's us check what other nations are suggesting.

The European Union has given the green light for two more species of insect to be used as food for humans. As of Tuesday, a powdered form of Acheta domesticus — better known as the house cricket — will be given the green light for human consumption within the European Union, documents from the body

We feed the birds. Some birds with pointy beaks eat insects and they love mealworm cakes. Now we are supposed to include mealworm cakes in our preps?

This insanity needs to end, now.

IMO, NATO giving Ukraine 14 Leopard tanks, a HDW Class 212A submarine and a 3,500-ton Krivak III -class frigate. The US gave 31 M1 Abrams tanks. All of them are high tech and the operators need training. So, I'm willing to bet there are troops wearing civilian clothes training them.
It's a proxy war that could easily become WWIII.
          China keeps threatening Taiwan..
A recession followed by a war has too many historical precedents to ignore the potential.

            You know Tugaloo....

I've been thinking historically about what you posted above...technology and arms transfers....

Now ...before WW2....someone showed the Japanese how to build and man an aircraft carrier...also a submarine/submarines.

Now these were very expensive weapons of war...even back then....not many nations could afford even one aircraft carrier....or even one submarine.

So who showed them how to build these tools???? The Japanese went very very fast from a brown water coastal fleet to a blue water ocean fleet between wars. How did they do this????

Did someone build their next enemy????

Are we still doing this today????

Did we do this with the Taliban....????

            Do we ever learn...???

Just some rabid thoughts going through my head based on certain histories of which I am familiar.

I have a good idea how expensive an Aircraft carrier is....even a conventional powered Aircraft carrier.
Most nations cannot afford even one of these conventional powered carriers.

The Japanese didn't build aircraft carriers, they converted existing ships into them.
World's third naval power in 1941, the Empire of Japan deployed arguably the best unit of Aircraft Carriers, building many from 1921 to 1945.

Looking at the pictures shows they removed the super structure and added a wooden deck.

As we left billions in weapons in Afghanistan, the Taliban doesn't need weapons. That being said, China recently gave the Taliban drones. Anyone who doubts the Taliban also gave China our latest weapons technology is only kidding themselves.

Since falling into the hands of the Taliban, some of the weapons have been seized from militants in Indian-controlled Kashmir in what experts say could be just the start of their global journey.

The general in charge of the cut and run withdrawal said it was doomed from the start.

Billions of dollars worth of U.S. weapons are on the negotiating table between Russian strongman Vladimir Putin and Afghanistan’s Taliban government, according to at least one insider. Presidentish Joe Biden’s bungled bugout from Afghanistan resulted in a windfall for the new radical Islamic government, including artillery, attack helicopters, and thousands of HUMVEES, machine guns, radios

Those who doubt me, turn off their TV news and do a search for Putin wants to buy US weapons in Afghanistan.

The ill planned and hasty exit from Afghanistan wins a Darwin Award.

That may be true...but it is still an expensive and time consuming task....to think and design through to an operational aircraft carrier. Conversion or not.

Most nations today could not even afford it ..much less....complete it.

We are not just talking about the ships crew...but the operational air wings as well...a huge and complex undertaking.

And most nations today cannot do it...nor afford such...even a conventional powered carrier.

Oh..and I agree about the Afghanistan Darwin Award.

Thinking also about the mountain of arms and vehicles we left in Vietnam....many of which wound up in the Central American conflicts.

It is as if we never learn....we keep arming our next enemy.

Wondering when, how, and or why the Ukrainians are going to turn on us.???

Oh...yeah.....some reports are that Russian Troops are being issued Mosin Nagant bolt action rifles.

Oh...dont get me wrong...by what I've seen at the range/gun club...the Mosin Nagant Rifle is very dangerous in the right hands of someone who knows how to use it.....

But I am thinking that is not the average Russian Conscript...

In ballistic terms...I believe the 7.62 x 54 R is in there with the American 30.06. It is no slouch.

There were some conversions but some purpose built ones.

Putin is trying to purchase weapons from the Taliban.

I'm on satellite and at this time, it is too slow to watch 47 minutes or I'll be up long past my bedtime. I also have data caps or we live well outside of what others call big city normal.
Most of Japan's carriers where repurposed.. Remove everything and built a wooden deck. I mean why not? After all, they were good enough to destroy Pearl Harbor.

I've seen this done in this shipyard...wherein they take an olde tanker.....cut out the engine room section...float it into a drydock and then rebuild a new updated tanker onto the olde engine room section.

One of the things I like to do on any navy ship...before the security locks are installed..is go into the radio rooms and look around..

On a carrier ..that means...lots and lots of radios..VHF/UHF and of course HF. One of the things I quickly noticed is that they are not using that cheap Radio Shack coaxial cable......they got the good stuff....big time expensive. Very impressive!!! 100% shielding...even double shielding....clearly expensive....the good stuff.

You can bet, they can receive and transmit the whole frequency spectrum. When hundreds of feet below the surface, submarines can receive messages on VLF to ELF. QST magazine had an article about it.

If you can see the coax, it will be Heliax,

Very low loss and extremely resistant to interfering with other electronic devices.
The "cheap" coax is $6.91 per foot or not consumer affordable.

No, you won't see the cheapo stuff.
