Oxycodone

I have growned my teeth all my life and they was no good anymore so I just had all my teeth pulled, to my surprise my congestion in my ears that has made me light headed and dizzy for at least 5yrs started to leave immediately.

I have about 12 pills left and I tried to find a place that will take them and donate them to a less fortunate person that needs them, but they cant take them cause it wasn't in an controlled environment. If I take them to the pharmacist they will most likely resale them, and they say that prescription drugs can find its way into the water table so you cant flush them down the toilet or put it into the landfill.
So what do you do with them without getting thrown into jail?

I dont know whats so addicting about this drug, it only killed the pain and made me drowsy.

you cannot donate these to the less fortunate. It is against the law. I would just flush them. Such a minimal amount will not hurt anything. Or save em. Or break them into 1/3 and feed them to the dog. He will appreciate you for it.

I have a friend who LOVES pills. It doesn't really matter what kind it is, he'll take it. I've tried Oxycodone, and find it to be somewhat of a levitating-feeling when I sit perfectly still, also it makes me drowsy.

The last time I took one, it was due to a headache that had lasted a couple days, and I had a hard time sleeping because of it. That same friend gave me half of an oxy and I was able to sleep throughout the night with no headache in the morning.

I would recommend you keep these due to the ability to relieve a mild hangover, sleeplessness, moderate muscle cramps, or slight depression. Because of the narcotic effect these give, using it for slight depression doesn't do much other than allowing you to relax, which in turn allows your mind to heal.

I've experimented with many drugs in the past, and instead of just being "messed up" I would analyze every aspect of whatever drug I took to see what, if any, benefit they truely are.

You can't give this away, it is a controlled substance. When you get a prescription for that it has to be on a special type of pad for a reason.

Just flush it, or keep it for some other time you might get injured. From my experience, it is stable if kept stored cool and dry.

It is not an expensive drug to get anyhow, from my recollection a bottle is maybe 10 or 11 dollars depending on strength and where you buy. On the street the value is considerably higher, but it is a felony to sell it or give it to someone else.

I doubt the pharmacy can take it back and sell it, they will probably jsut dispose of it.

Just put the bottle in the refrigerator & save them as part of your med supplies for a time when you may need them in the future.

I have been considering keeping them for an emergency.
Is it illegal to keep them for that purpose? It is prescribed in my name so I don't know if I can legally take them at a latter date if I have an injury. Random drug testing for the work place is done could be a concern.

I've kept medicine long beyond the dates it was prescribed for. I'm not quite sure how it would play out in a random testing scenario though.

As long as you have a prescription it is legal as far as I know.

I am not a lawyer, but I have never had an expiration date on the prescription. It is the medication that supposedly deteriorates, but I think oxycodone is pretty stable.

as long as you have a script for the drug you are perfectly safe the drug was wrote too you for your need and i would definantly keep them for later use.not telling you to break the law just dont tell the law

Now from what I understand, if you have a legal prescription for say percocet, & you decide to go for a drive & have the pills on you but not their container, you can be charged with possession of a controlled substance. Any LEOs want to chime in?

In MA, that is the case.

However that lovely word "reasonable" comes to mind. Would a reasonable person who was ailing, perhaps accidentally take one of the tablets and place it in his or her pocket or purse? Yes, it is possible. To charge or not to charge would be ultimately at the discretion of the LEO.

I say keepem in the frig- you or someone you care about may need them someday. I dont like taking pain pills- hate the numb face. When I pull a muscle in my back real bad (old farts should not try to set heavy hardwood entry doors alone!) I'm glad I have a few left from an injury 3 years ago. (Old farts should tie their ladders securely before going up "one more step" and putting "one more nail" in a second-story pc. of soffit.)
