This one takes the cake. I was just called by a friend of mine who works in the wireless industry with me. One of the cell sites for his company was just robbed. They took a 4'X10'X7'tall generator/diesel tank! They broke through the fence and cut the anchors that had it secured to a concrete pad. This thing has to weigh at least 3,000 lbs or more.
that's an odd one, that's all they took?? must have had some heavy equipment or a ton of guys
WHAT IF THE AMERICA YOU KNEW, WAS ABOUT TO CHANGE?
The best thing you can do to support the site is pass it on to your friends and fav sites like other forums, facebook, twitter etc. Let people know about us! :)
WOW they took the whole tank? We have been involved in some major site clean up work involving large pumps with 300-500 hp deisel engines and we had to hire security 24-7 to guard the fuel, cameras did not work, the bad guys saw them put on mask and waved at the camera while they pumped anywhere from 100-300 gal of diesel A DAY!. We were dredging and pumping slurry anywhere from 2-4 miles and some of our pumps were very remote. I have never seen the entire tank get stolen...new one on me. is this site in the carolinas? they must of used a roll back or some heavy equipment.

Tank generator and all, and the tank was full. They had plywood layed down across a mud hole which tells me they were using a forklift without offroad tires. That will narrow it way down to a few people in the area. It was in the lower part of SC.
that's insane and took some planning... I hope they catch them, for your sake, I'd bet you like to know who they are. That's awful, can you imagine what else they would steal and at what cost?
I'm so glad I'm getting a Sig... that's all I'm saying.
:) good luck with your generator shed!
