  • why didn't you take the blue pill?

Being deep and philosophical this morning, referencing "the Matrix" I'm pretty sure all of us are the type to choose the red pill.

Why is the choice between what you believe you know and an unknown 'real' truth so fascinating? How could a choice possibly be made? On the one hand everyone you love and everything that you have built you life upon. One the other the promise only of truth.

The question then is not about pills, but what they stand for in these circumstances. The question is asking us whether reality, truth, is worth pursuing. The blue pill will leave us as we are, in a life consisting of habit, of things we believe we know. We are comfortable, we do not need truth to live. The blue pill symbolises commuting to work every day, or brushing your teeth.

The red pill is an unknown quantity. We are told that it can help us to find the truth. We don't know what that truth is, or even that the pill will help us to find it. The red pill symbolises risk, doubt and questioning. In order to answer the question, you can gamble your whole life and world on a reality you have never experienced.

    Outstanding post, Bro'....

The difference between the matrix scenario and our's, IMHO, is that we know with certainty what our nation could be. We have absolute proof of what a true, "statesman" driven country can be, peopled by patriots and enterpreneurs instead of social and welfare whack-jobs....

I definitely choose the red pill, because the blue defines complacency and abject conformity, under duress.....the red, for me at least, embodies freedom (not anarchy, mind you) and a common-sense approach to reality, or "truth", and fairness (equal opportuniy, not equal outcome)...

    My $0.02...

I don't know why, but when I read about Peak Oil in December of 2005,
it all clicked. And there was no going back. EVER.

It was the presidential election that did it for me. Everything just seemed wrong about it. I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet, so I couldn't begin to explain. And the mass following that Obama got, and the amount of money he raised... and then we have to bailout the country 'cause of greed..... THAT really opened my eyes.

but some days, I just want to be like Cypher and have them put me back in.... (again, the reference to the Matrix)

Why didn't I take the blue pill? It wasn't an option for me.

I've tried, for many years, to simply ignore what's going on around me, and find the bliss in ignorance, but it didn't work. One small thing triggers another, the force behind it is somewhat obscured, but eventually comes to light.

We are pushed and pulled in every conceivable direction, and while some just go with the flow, I prefer to push back, and always have. Ever since I was a child I envisioned something more than just bumping into each other on a daily basis. Forced into daycare to be raised by strangers while a parent goes off to earn a paycheck didn't seem right to me. Growing up, knowing my father had to pay my mom for child support, even though he barely had a job and could hardly afford to keep his head above water.

An answer. A new way to live our lives without taking time away from the ones we love to earn money in order to live a fancy lifestyle. You can't replace family with cash, and that cash cannot instill family values. It only causes people to become even more distant from one another.

                Okay, guess that's good...

                  Brosia,

I took the Purple Pill, so I can bring the best of the Red Pill world to the Blue Pill world. No acid reflux either.

                      long story short

Long story short.. Always wanted the american dream life, my good friends kept trying to get me to see it isnt' what it looks to be. I didn't want to hear that of course but then 2 years ago my wife happen to mention New World Order ideas that her Dad would talk about. So I started to do research on the Matrix with Mason's, Illumantis and so fourth and sure enough it kept snow balling and BOOM it hit me so hard that no way I could turn reality the true reality off at that point, and I don't want this to turn to God this talk but I wasnt' saved at this time either and It really helped me to tune into the bible more and to understand WOW all this going on around me is not what it seems and the Bible explains all of this to us as well. Praise God for awakening me to step out of the Comfort junk dream I wanted!! Cause now I live outside of the lies and in the TRUTH...
The game of the New World Order is playing out at hand...Be ready with your plan!!!

That was my initial thought as well. :D I'd take the red pill because I want to know what's really going on, even if it means a radical shift in my views & perceptions. The one thing that I've discovered in my quest for knowledge is that its very easy to overload your circuits. It has to be done gradually & in moderation otherwise the sheer volume overwhelms you. Besides I've never been one to follow the crowd.

Well it was either Viagra or what the tinfoil folks, of which I am one, would tell you is a reference to being rounded up by unfriendlies in a martial law type scenario.
