Folks, The prospect of Socialized Medicine is why I purchased the books Where There Is No Doctor and Where There Is No Dentist. Highly recommended.

It is also why I'm getting my final cavities filled shortly and hopefully getting some Titanium Terminator teeth before TSHTF. I'd love to have Titanium teeth. I'd think of it as my first step towards Transhumanity and immortality. Nothing like outliving your enemies.

I picked up these books a couple of years ago, and they are both defiantly good buys. They are broken down very easily, are written so aid workers can explain to almost any villager on how to take care of themselves and how to practice a practical field level medicine.

I am pretty sure they make some survival dental kits, need to look into this again and try to get one of those for sheer safety. Dental problems can really be bad if any infections occur and one is out for sure.

MOST dental infections can be remedied by chewing green moss and honey about every four hours, and rinsing with clean water or soda water (clear)....

Speaking of which I just had a root canal & two teeth shaved down for crowns last Wednesday. I had an abscess in my jaw in March & I couldn't chew anything. I finally went to the local urgent care center where I was given Tramadol & antibiotics. I finished them & saw my dentist last Wednesday. When its all said & done I'm looking at $4k in dental bills.

Does anyone know of where one can find a Military surplus dental field kit? I have searched quite a bit and found only one site listing any but it is an auction place in KY and they won't have an auction til September. I sent them an email regarding this, but so far have not heard back from them. They used to have them out there, and I don't know what happened to them all, but somewhere out there some still have to exist. The modern few I found aren't much really, you can go to most variety or drug stores and get up what is in them for the most part and make your own at that rate.

I would have to look on the map to see where Radcliff KY is, but I am going to call them Monday and see what they say since I have not gotten an email reply back yet cause I really want one of these if they have them for sure.
